Be sure to check out IRON AMBITION: My Life with Cus D’Amato by Mike Tyson “Raw, powerful and disturbing—a head-spinning take on Mr. Tyson's life.”—Wall Street Journal Philosopher, Broadway headliner, fighter, felon—Mike Tyson has defied stereotypes, expectations, and a lot of conventional wisdom during his three decades in the public eye. Bullied as a boy in the toughest, poorest neighborhood in Brooklyn, Tyson grew up to become one of the most ferocious boxers of all time—and the youngest heavyweight champion ever. But his brilliance in the ring was often compromised by reckless behavior. Yet—even after hitting rock bottom—the man who once admitted being addicted “to everything” fought his way back, achieving triumphant success as an actor and newfound happiness and stability as a father and husband. Brutal, honest, raw, and often hilarious, Undisputed Truth is the singular journey of an inspiring American original.

Book Description
The Natural Truth: A Spiritual Journey By: Sigrid Suyo Our lives are a journey; sometimes we get stuck in one place afraid to move on. This book relates the passage through various stages of religious belief from faith and reverence, to doubt and disillusionment, to departure and loss, to open mindedness and re-examination, and finally to a natural spirituality of awareness and peace. In telling her story, the author looked backward so she could look forward. She recognized how her staunch religious conditioning as a child prevented her from seeing the world as it is. Her path revealed much about the often unacknowledged spiritual characteristics of the certainty of life on Earth versus the uncertainty of life beyond the grave. There is no commandment for the adoration of our natural world; but there is much to praise. The book's examination of traditional religious practices and beliefs that guided the author for three decades of her life, is written with honesty and the occasional rhyming word. She does not attempt to persuade the reader but presents her insights with logic and forthrightness. Her viewpoint presents many questions to ponder about our religious beliefs and their value in our lives. Like beauty, personal spiritualism, religiously inspired or otherwise, lives in the heart of the beholder. One need only take the time to look for its many sources. We all have misgivings about life and death. This book provides much to think about and much to value. Those who may be on the cusp of doubt about their religious beliefs, may find it inspirational and informative. Those happy with their spiritualism, may find it enlightening.

Book Description
This collection is the final volume of a four book survey of the state of phenomenology fifty years after the death of Edmund Husserl. Its publication represents a landmark in the comprehensive treatment of contemporary phenomenology in all its vastness and richness. The diversity of the issues raised here is dazzling, but the main themes of Husserl's thought are all either explicitly treated, or else they underlie the ingenious approaches found here. Time, historicity, intentionality, eidos, meaning, possibility/reality, and teleology are the main concerns of this collection devoted to studies in aesthetics, metaphysics and literary interpretation, written by such authors as, among others, R. Cobb-Stevens, C. Moreno Marquez, J. Swiecimski, Sitansu Ray and M. Kronegger. These original studies of phenomenological aesthetics and literary theory by scholars from all parts of the world were gathered by the World Institute for Advanced Phenomenological Research and Learn ing during the year 1988/89 during its assessment of the phenomeno logical movement, fifty years after Husserl's death. Book Description
Building democracy in societies that have known only authoritarian rule for half a century is complicated. Taking the post-Yugoslav region as its case study, this volume shows how success with democratisation depends on various factors, including establishing the rule of law, the consolidation of free media, and society's acceptance of ethnic, religious and sexual minorities. Surveying the seven successor states, the authors argue that Slovenia is in a class by itself as the most successful, with Croatia and Serbia not far behind. The other states - Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro, and Kosovo - are all struggling with problems of corruption, poverty, and unemployment. The authors treat the issue of values as a policy problem in its own right, debating the extent to which values have been transformed by changes in education and the media, how churches and women's organisations have entered into the policy debate, and whether governments have embraced a programme designed to effect changes in values.
