Bolton, Esq., State Libra rian, the Hon. Isaac blackford, by request, took his seat as Presi dent of the Society. The large Hall was filled to over owing with ladies and gentlemen. At the conclusion of the Lecture, on mo tion of william J. Brown, Esq., a resolution was unanimously adopted, by those present, requesting a copy for publication, which, having been procured, will be found in the succeeding pages. It was intended, by Mr. Bolton, as an introduction to a Festival of the Old Settlers of Indianapolis and Central Indiana, which is to take place at an early period, during the present year, and to make arrangements for which a committee has been appointed.
