Tesis del año 2014 en eltema Pedagogía - Pedagogía de los medios, Nota: -, , Idioma: Español, Resumen: El propósito de la presente investigación fue proporcionar actualización en el uso de las herramientas tecnológicas interactivas (HTI) a facilitadores de la Licenciatura en Educación Mención Docencia en Idioma Inglés del Núcleo Palo Verde, de la Universidad Nacional Experimental Simón Rodríguez. El logro de los objetivos propuestos favorece tanto a docentes como a participantes, en la formación acorde con los avances tecnológicos del milenio. Se propuso la actualización mediante un curso virtual basado en un diseño tecnológico instruccional, cuyo contenido comprende la planificación, ejecución y evaluación de actividades interactivas. El estudio constituye un proyecto especial, enmarcado en el paradigma positivista, con una investigación de campo y un diseño no experimental descriptivo. Contó con una población finita de catorce (14) profesores y doscientos ochenta y un (281) estudiantes; con una muestra de la misma cantidad de docentes y de 60 participantes. Para la recolección de la información se aplicó una encuesta con escala tipo Likert y preguntas abiertas. Se evidenció en los resultados el elevado uso de medios tradicionales por parte de los docentes, mientras que los estudiantes demostraron el empleo de HTI por su cuenta para mejorar el aprendizaje del idioma. En las conclusiones y recomendaciones se sugirió a los facilitadores el empleo e incorporación de las HTI en su praxis educativa, participación en actividades de actualización tecnológica e incentivo a sus instituciones para la dotación de equipos y recursos multimedia.

Walter Lippmann wrote his "Public Opinion" at a time when something like the 'mass media' was coming into existence. Prior to the age of electronic communication, the only mechanism for reaching large numbers of individuals was the newspapers. In World War I, he saw how opportunistic nations used the newspapers to serve their often nefarious aims. Lippmann, however, believed that in the hands of super-intelligent, disinterested, omni-benevelont 'experts, ' the 'mass media' could bring about world peace. The school system, the advent of radio, and of course, the television, were arriving or coming along shortly. Each allowed a small group of people the ability to manage a much larger group, inspiring optimism among liberals and progressives that with the right forumula, the horrors seen in World War I would never occur again. Lippmann wrote "Public Opinion" in 1922, shortly after World War I. In 1924, a certain Adolf Hitler would be spending time in jail. If this merited any mention in any newspaper, it is doubtful that no expert paid it any mind. 1939 was, after all, a long way off.
