Book Description
Christopher Walker has employed Eastern arts tools for years, embracing the impermanence of life and helping people learn to naturally heal themselves from the stress and emotional turmoil experienced at the end of an intimate, personal relationship. Founder of Innerwealth Consulting, Walker has coached thousands of individuals to evolve and grow, using the universal laws of nature. The ancient laws of nature tap the deepest core of an individual's humanity dealing with emotional attachments, heartbreak and complex human dynamics. The laws recognize three levels of human mind: the lower mind, which is guided by material attachments; the middle mind, which is guided by emotions; and the higher mind, which is guided by the experience of the journey and cares nothing of the outcome. The ancient laws provide guidance regarding how to work with all three levels of mind to achieve harmony. Breaking Up: Using the Laws of Nature to Learn How to Let Go applies ancient wisdom to modern times to help one manage the end of a relationship: to let go through the challenge of emotional and physical separation, to move forward in life with love and passion and to maintain respect for everyone involved.

Book Description
"Looks like Schutt and Finch are filling the void left by the passing of Michael Crichton."--James Cameron, director/writer/explorer In the wake of World War II, zoologist and adventurer Captain R. J. MacCready is sent to the frozen mountain valleys of Tibet to find a creature of legend that may hold the secret to humankind’s evolutionary future—or the key to its extinction—in this explosive follow-up to Hell’s Gate. It is 1946, and the world is beginning to rebuild from the ashes of the devastating war. Marked by the perilous discoveries he encountered in the wilds of Brazil, Captain R. J. MacCready has a new assignment on the other side of the globe—a mission that may help him put the jungle’s horrors behind him. He is headed for the Himalayas, to examine some recently discovered mammoth bones. Arriving in Asia, Mac learns the bones are only a cover story. He’s really there to investigate an ancient codex allegedly written by Pliny the Elder, a fascinating text filled with explosive secrets. The Roman naturalist claimed to have discovered a new race of humans, a divergent species that inspired the myth of the Yeti and is rumored to have the ability to accelerate the process of evolution. If Pliny’s assertions are true, this seemingly supernatural ability holds unlimited potential benefits—and unlimited potential for destruction. Charged with uncovering more about this miracle species, Mac sets off into the remote mountain valleys of Tibet, using the codex as his guide. But the freezing climate and treacherous terrain are only the beginning of the dangers facing him. He must also contend with the brutal Chinese army and a species of native creature even the Yeti seem to fear. The deeper he plunges into the unknown, the more certain it appears that Mac and the associates who join his odyssey may not make it out alive. Combining plausible science, history, and action-packed thrills, The Himalayan Codex is a page-turning adventure sure to enthrall fans of James Rollins, Michael Crichton, Dan Brown, and Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child.

Book Description
Tendrel tells the story of a gifted young man who grows up in a sophisticated Upper East Side household in the 1940s, 50s, and early 60s he rubs elbows with many famous people-Noël Coward, Truman Capote, Greta Garbo, the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, Dwight Eisenhower, and others. After he's dismissed from St. Paul's School his senior year, he frequents gay bars and discovers his sexuality. As an intellectually precocious teenager he finds himself drawn to Medieval studies, French literature, and Buddhism. While at Harvard he converts to Catholicism. After many twists and turns, traveling to France, Greece, and Italy, making friends and indulging in flings, he graduates. Two weeks later, his mother jumps to her death from a window of their upper Fifth Avenue apartment. Months later, the author suffers a nervous breakdown. His recovery connects him with the renowned piano duo, Arthur Gold and Bobby Fizdale, and through them many of New York's great artists, including Tanny and George Balanchine, Samuel Barber, Stella Adler, John Housman, and Cicely Tyson, all of whom are part of Tendrel's melody. In 1967 his mentor, the Benedictine monk and theologian Dom Aelred Graham, invites the author to accompany him as his secretary on a year-long journey to Asia to meet with non-Christian religious leaders. During that year the author is accepted as a private student by the Dalai Lama, who tells him, "I will¿make you my monk in America." In 1968 the author acts as Thomas Merton's guide to Tibetan lamas in the Indian Himalayas; he houses the great Cistercian monk in his small bungalow in Darjeeling. Merton confronts the author, telling him: "You've got to get it straight kid: what the Tibetan tradition has to offer us is dzogchen and that's where it's at¿[So] if you want to know¿find a dzogchen yogi." Merton dies a month later in a Bangkok hotel. The author finds his Dzogchen yogi, Lama Gyurda-la, outside Darjeeling. He enters the path of Dzogchen and discovers his life's work: understanding the mind's nature mind, of being liberated from life's ups and downs.
