Book Description
Using simple rituals--whose roots draw from shamanism, spirituality, religion, Native American studies, vibrational energy, and alternative medicine--becoming conscious of healing abilities is possible. This manual demonstrates not only how to gain the knowledge and wisdom afforded by various spirit beings, guides, and helpers, but also how to apply this knowledge in the natural world. Key diagnostic methods address specific ways to talk with plants and animals, understand what they say and how they say it, and how harmony, healing, and wholeness may be attained in both urban and rural settings. Visualization, prayer, and other techniques for accessing the vibration rates and consciousness of living things are also explored.

Book Description
The culmination of over three decades of writing by environmental scientist and writer Haydn Washington, this book examines the global environmental crisis and its solutions. Many of us know that something is wrong with our world, that it is wounded. At the same time, we often don’t know why things have gone wrong – or what can be done. Framing the discussion around three central predicaments – the ecological, the social, and the economic – Washington provides background as to why each of these are in crisis and presents steps that individuals can personally take to heal the world. Urging the reader to accept the reality of our problems, he explores practical solutions for change such as the transition to renewable energy, rejection of climate denial and the championing of appropriate technology, as well as a readjustment in ethical approaches. The book also contains 19 ‘solution boxes’ by distinguished environmental scholars. With a focus on positive, personal solutions, this book is an essential read for students and scholars of environmental science and environmental philosophy, and for all those keen to heal the world and contribute towards a sustainable future.

Book Description
This overview volume—Glimpses of Oneness— presents a series of brief essays that sketch various facets of my own life’s awakening. These often playful fables share inspiring nuances of the unity perspective, as seen in a daily life con- text that is easily recognizable to all. Each represents a pivotal moment in or aspect of my evolutionary development. Some are experience-based, and are presented more or less chronologically as they appeared during a fifty-year arc of my life’s trajectory. Others chronicle some of the forms that have emerged for me as a direct result of these important oneness experiences: Archetypal sketches, structural diagrams, integrative exercises and techniques, and relational revelations of some of unity’s deeper truths. I also share how I’ve put these gifts into practice as my work has unfolded over the past few decades. My approach here is a-traditional and eclectic. It does not follow any particular lineage, regime, dogma, methodology, or schema. These stories draw upon inspiration from many varied sources, as do my life and this larger body of work. I’ve decided to present these vignettes in an illustrated “short story” format, instead of as a comprehensively integrated treatise on the unity theme—leaving that complexity to the Global Awakening series as a whole. My hope is that these brief, faceted glimpses will work well with our contemporary time constraints and attention spans, and that their diversity of content will effectively engage an equally diverse audience. My life’s teaching has revealed many ways to experience “becoming the mountain” of oneness—from individual internal integration and uniting with the world at large, to uniting various aspects of our world. I’ve found that each way has an important role to play, especially when we turn our attention toward uniting to heal ourselves and our world. The deepest essence of the unity vision that drives the broader and powerful healing impulse for the complete series, and how it came to be seated in me, is in these pages. The implicit and, I hope, inspiring message to readers of this and other volumes is simply this: The insights, inspirations, and innovations that I share here can come to you as easily as they’ve come to me.

Book Description
People are really hurting today -- not just physically, but mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and in their relationships. All of us need healing. Maybe we have an addiction we're trying to break. Maybe there's no happiness or love in our lives. Maybe the hurt is from being lonely, even in the midst of family, job, or social gatherings. And when we need healing, we often hurt those around us. We strike out at the environment until it, too, is hurting. The angels, our unseen companions and guardians, can help us heal. In fact, from New York to California, angels are doing just that. People are telling stories of being healed of everything from serious illness to addictions to bad relationships, simply by calling on angels for their help. "Angelic Healing" will reveal the lessons of history, while offering stories of angelic healing today -- moving tales of people for whom being touched by angels has meant major healing in their lives and the lives of those around them. "Angelic Healing" also shows you how to tap into your angelic resources to bring about healing in your own life and empower you to be all you were meant to be. Bri

Book Description
The imperialist ambitions of China – which invaded Tibet in the late 1940s – have sparked the spectacular spread of Tibetan Buddhism worldwide, and especially in western countries. This work is a study on the malleability of a particular Buddhist tradition; on its adaptability in new contexts. The book analyses the nature of the Tibetan Buddhism in the Diaspora. It examines how the re-signification of Tibetan Buddhist practices and organizational structures in the present refers back to the dismantlement of the Tibetan state headed by the Dalai Lama and the fragmentation of Tibetan Buddhist religious organizations in general. It includes extensive multi-sited fieldwork conducted in the United States, Brazil, Europe, and Asia and a detailed analysis of contemporary documents relating to the global spread of Tibetan Buddhism. The author demonstrates that there is a "de-institutionalized" and "de-territorialized" project of political power and religious organization, which, among several other consequences, engenders the gradual "autonomization" of lamas and lineages inside the religious field of Tibetan Buddhism. Thus, a spectre of these previous institutions continues to exist outside their original contexts, and they are continually activated in ever-new settings. Using a combination of two different academic traditions – namely, the Brazilian anthropological tradition and the American Buddhist studies tradition – it investigates the "process of cultural re-signification" of Tibetan Buddhism in the context of its Diaspora. Thus, it will be a valuable resource to students and scholars of Asian Religion, Asian Studies and Buddhism.
