The Coastal Zone Information Center (CZIC) collection provides access to nearly 5,000 coastal related documents that the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO) received from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Central Library. The collection provides almost 30 years of data and information crucial to the understanding of U.S. coastal management and NOAA's mission to sustain healthy coasts. This is one of their documents.

"This study is a follow-up to the previous report entitled, [sic] the Hawaii shoreline erosion management study, completed June, 1989. After describing a methodology for analyzing long-term shoreline changes, an analysis of two areas (Hanalei Bay and Haena-Wainiha) is conducted. On the basis of this analysis, some recommendations for improving the management of coastal areas on Kauai are provided. In addition, the results of an evaluation of the Poipu area, contained in the earlier report ... are summarized and presented along with management plans for the Poipu Beach County Park.
