Book Description
From Flood to Fallen Kingdoms (FFFK) is the first truly authoritative, detailed and coherent, young-earth creationist overview of the post-flood history of the ancient Near East (and the land of Israel), for laypersons and scholars alike. It is a unique work which does not have serious rivals in the biblical-creationist book market. The lack of a good and comprehensive introductory book was the main reason why I started to write the book in the first place. I have made use of the best available scholarly literature, Christian as well as secular. The book contains a lot of my own research, but it is also in very good agreement with the archaeological articles written by A. J. M. Osgood (can be read at creation.com) and the books of David Down (Unwrapping the Pharaohs and Unveiling the Kings of Israel), for example. FFFK follows the absolute chronology of Floyd Nolen Jones' The Chronology of the Old Testament. As a Bible-faithful narrative introduction to the history and archaeology of the ancient Near East, From Flood to Fallen Kingdoms is far better than the existing apologetic works that come towards the genre of FFFK (Evidence for the Bible by Clive Anderson and Brian Edwards; Ancient Post-Flood History by Ken Johnson; The World's Story 1: The Ancients by Angela O'Dell, for example). From Flood to Fallen Kingdoms will strengthen the faith of numerous believing readers who take the Holy Scriptures seriously. They will also be surprised to see how well the first five post-flood centuries, from Ararat to Abraham, which until now have been in great darkness, can be elucidated through proper interpretation of biblical and archaeological evidence.

A Kingdom Divided Cannot Stand
Author: Will Zimmer
Publisher: WestBow Press
ISBN: 1449736475
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 192
Book Description
A Kingdom Divided Cannot Stand explains the importance of Christians breaking through traditions and uniting as the body of Christ. It does not matter which church a Christian chooses to attend, because ultimately they are all members of the body of Christ (Christ's church). Manmade traditions can and will hinder the promises of God in a person’s life. As the end of the age quickly approaches, it is becoming more important for Christ’s church to unite. Find out how current events line up with biblical prophecy and how close we are to the end of the age. A Kingdom Divided Cannot Stand will answer common questions such as: What will happen next? Why did Christ allude to the days of Lot and Noah when describing the end of the age? Is the Old Law still in effect today? Are Christians accountable to the Old Law or the New Law? What did Christ do when He fulfilled the Old Law? A Kingdom Divided Cannot Stand also includes a “medically updated” version of the body of Christ.

Publisher: Penguin
ISBN: 0593114353
Category : Young Adult Fiction
Languages : en
Pages : 370
Book Description
"A tense and beautiful tale about the monsters we make and the memories that haunt us." —Kate Alice Marshall, author of I Am Still Alive and Rules for Vanishing Rose Colter is almost home, but she can't go back there yet. When her car breaks down in the Nevada desert, the silence of the night is broken by a radio broadcast of a voicemail message from her best friend, Gaby. A message Rose has listened to countless times over the past year. The last one Gaby left before she died. So Rose follows the lights from the closest radio tower to Lotus Valley, a small town where prophets are a dime a dozen, secrets lurk in every shadow, and the diner pie is legendary. And according to Cassie Cyrene, the town's third most accurate prophet, they've been waiting for her. Because Rose's arrival is part of a looming prophecy, one that says a flood will destroy Lotus Valley in just three days' time. Rose believes if the prophecy comes true then it will confirm her worst fear—the PTSD she was diagnosed with after Gaby's death has changed her in ways she can't face. So with help from new friends, Rose sets out to stop the flood, but her connection to it, and to this strange little town, runs deeper than she could've imagined. Debut author Rebecca Mahoney delivers an immersive and captivating novel about magical places, found family, the power of grief and memory, and the journey toward reconciling who you think you've become with the person you've been all along.
