Book Description
When the plane full of young recruits landed in Cam Ranh Bay, Vietnam, the stewardess stood at the cabin door and cried. It seemed like a bad omen. The Frog Hunter: A Story about the Vietnam War, an Inkblot Test and a Girl, is a memoir that reads stranger than fiction. The author takes his readers on a fascinating, often humorous, and emotionally moving journey from deadly Ranger missions in Vietnam, to betrayal by his superior officers at Fort Ord, to the inside of an Army psychiatric ward. With a chaotic mind, trying to make sense of the war, Stamper is in a desperate search for truth. He turns to the hippie culture, attracted by their message of peace and enlightenment.Unexpectedly, he meets a beautiful girl who becomes the love of his life. He wants normalcy; he wants the girl, and he wants a future. But every bit of happiness that life offers him is threatened by a war that ravages his mind and heart. It has taken everything from him-his friends, his sanity, and his peace. He can't let it take her too, and he must keep it from her at all costs. Written in powerful prose, the story reveals how war wounds the mind and soul. But hope emerges, kindled within the tangled aftermath of trauma and loss.

Book Description
Fresh from school in June 1916, Lieutenant Oliver Paxton's first solo flight is to lead a formation of biplanes across the Channel to join Hornet Squadron in France. Five days later, he crash-lands at his destination, having lost his map, his ballast and every single plane in his charge. To his C.O. he's an idiot, to everyone else--especially the tormenting Australian who shares his billet--a pompous bastard. This is 1916, the year of the Somme, giving Paxton precious little time to grow from innocent to veteran.

God Won't Help

Pages : 96
Book Description
A chance meeting with a former US Army Special Forces officer AKA Candyman in war-torn Kabul sets Shiv, a disillusioned civil engineer, from the comforts of Mumbai on a journey to find his inner peace. The craggy peaks and troughs of the Karakoram Range echo the ups and downs of Shiv’s life as he seeks answers to questions of life, destiny and happiness. In a way, Shiv’s travails are no different from that of millions of others seeking answers to the apparent unfairness in life’s distribution of bounties and miseries. Keeping him company in this quest is Nasir, a dour-faced Pashtun, who struggles with his own torments as he despairs at the caprices of fate. But what is a former US army officer doing amidst the ruins of Kabul living in a tent house, and why does the American go by the moniker “Candyman”? The answer to this innocuous question hides in itself the purpose of life we seek and how and why happiness eludes most, despite religion, religious structures, gods and godmen and most important of all… why God won’t help! Or will He?

The Bible Knows
Author: Bill Rogers
Publisher: Xlibris Corporation
ISBN: 1483673766
Category : Bibles
Languages : en
Pages : 77
Book Description
Hello Hello, my name is Bill Rogers, I am not a preacher or minister, collage Professor, or never even went to collage. I wanted to find some answers about the gentile; I could not find a book with all of the answers from that question. “Where did the gentile come from” Oh, one more thing you need to know, I barley passed English, if it was not for my children and the computer this book would never have been written. My youngest daughter has given so much time helping me; sometimes I think she should be the author instead of me. It has taken me a little over 8 years to write this book but if I can you will be suppressed at the things we have read and not really understand because we never really looked at it. Like the chicken and the egg, there is no telling how many times we have read this and still I remember hearing this question all of my life and it has been in the Bible. As we go ahead it will become clear how much is in the Bible that is missed. One thing is who died in the flood, it is in the Bible, and we just have to search for it. What happened on the Day of Pentecost? “Probably the second most important event after Jesus dieing on the Cross and Rising in 3 days. If Judas had repented to God he would have been forgiven and would have gone to Heaven, it is in the Bible. Some people have told me the children of God resent being called a Jew; if this offends anyone I apologize for it now, It is not my intention to offend “The Children of God” There are 2 types of people on this earth and the other is the gentile, which comes from the word pagan which means farmer, pag means stake or pole in the ground and on means a person is tied to it. It was not until the 13 century when it became a secular name. The Old Testament was written for and about the Israelites while the New Testament was written for both people. In the Old Testament the Gentile was a prop to tell the story with, while in the New Testament the Gentile was a main part of the book. In the 8th grade we studied about the Stone Age, and going back to the time of the Stone Age was 5.5 million years BC. Adam and Eve were created 4004 years BC. This is one clue of the Gentile. When I was a little boy a Pastor by the name of Brother Dixon told me when studying a subject in the Bible when I was finished it would fit like an expensive glove but if it had an extra finger or thumb I would need to go back and start over again because the Bible was correct it was just humans that made the mistakes in their search. It is very disappointing to spend a 100 hours on a subject only to find it has an extra finger or not enough fingers, oh well back to the beginning again. There are places many ministers are going to disagree with me but I ask them to read the Bible word for word and not put there on words in it or try to twist the scripture to suit themselves. After starting this book and listening to some ministers preach it is plan to see they never read the next paragraph, am I picking on the ministers, no but if the congregation will read this book and read the Bible the preachers will be better prepared to deliver their sermon. Sorry to say but there are some preachers that preach what sounds good to the ears but will send a person to Hell. Like my Dad used to say “KISS” keep it simple, stupid.
