A method of numerical solution of the basic gas dynamic equations involving suspended solids is presented for the case of an arbitrary area distribution. The velocity of sound in the two-phase mixture was computed. The importance of the throat condition is clarified and the inadequacy of solutions without the throat condition is discussed.
