Book Description
Ferrari 308, 328 and 348 traces the complete story of the four models of Ferrari's V8-powered sports cars between 1973 and 1995 - the cars that broke Ferrari out of the V6 and V12 moulds, with the V8 becoming Ferrari's most popular engine choice in the final decade of the twentieth century. The book covers the history and development of Ferrari's new V8 engine, and the 308's daunting role as successor to the popular Dino. There are specification tables and production figures for the model variants, along with details of concept cars and other related models, and a review of competition exploits. The book also considers the cars' current position in the classic car market and offers insight into the rewarding ownership experience each of the models now represents. The book covers: design processes and styling by Bertone and Pininfarina; concept cars and rivals; the cars in competition; owning and running the cars today. With a guide through the entire lifespan of these exciting V8-powered sports cars and superbly illustrated with 295 colour photographs, this is essential reading for the Ferrari aficionado.

Book Description
The 308 GT4 was a replacement for the original 246 series Dino. It wore the Dino badges and it shared the 246's transverse mid-engined layout. It was a 2+2 rather than an uncompromising two seater, and it broke new ground in having a body styled by Bertone. Sales were steady but not spectacular. The Dino badging was dropped in May 1976 and production began to trail off during 1978 - the last one was built in January 1980. The Mondial didn't fare very well - it was a heavier car and a disappointment to Ferrari fans and only survived until 1982. However, the Mondial Quattravalvole showed that Modena had got the formula right this time and when a gorgeous cabriolet version joined the original coupe in 1984, sales practically doubled overnight. There are plenty of Ferrari enthusiasts who number the models in this book among their most coveted cars, and they will find plenty to feed their passion on its pages.

Book Description
Ferraris are best known for their sleek, stunning, and curvaceous design, eye-watering price tag, and standard rosso corsa (race red) paintwork. From the very first Ferrari – the 1947 Tipo 125 S racing sports car – through to the more recent 2013 LaFerrari mild hybrid limited edition road car, Ferrari have continued to astound enthusiasts and critics alike with their evolutionary performance road vehicles and unrivalled Formula 1 racing pedigree. Yet, motoring history might have been so different – Enzo Ferrari was a reluctant manufacturer. He initially built and sold production vehicles purely to fund his Scuderia Ferrari racing team. For every success on the track, though, came a wave of innovation to be applied to their production cars. The F1 gearbox was one of the most important technological transfers from racing car to grand tourer and was quickly followed by traction control. The next generation of Ferraris is set to be turbocharged, as strict consumption and emission regulations will affect the future of engineering and there are even electric cars in Ferrari’s sights too. The agenda includes more special editions, tailor-made varieties, and one-off models, although their core business will still lie in the GT road car market. It is a boyhood dream of many youngsters and grown men to own, or at least drive, a Ferrari. Unfortunately, the majority do not go on to achieve this ambition but this book might go some way to filling the void and keeping the dream alive…
