Book Description
We all know what families look like when they’re broken. But how were they meant to look? Authors Glenn Stanton and Leon Wirth rediscover the Creator’s majestic plan behind this essential, endangered institution—and bring it down to earth with practical application for every spouse and parent. This book is an extension of Focus on the Family’s much-anticipated The Family Project, a 12-week church and small group series that will change the way moms, dads, wives, and husbands see themselves—and help them build healthy households from the best blueprint of all. While following the topic outline of The Family Project curriculum, this book stands alone and delves into the subject areas more deeply. It provides a solid exploration of God’s design and the transformative purpose of biblical families, and also offers down-to-earth helps for living out God’s design in your own family, along with inspiration for helping others do the same.

Book Description
In a world of divorce, casual sex, and homosexual unions, "family"?once the bedrock of our culture?is becoming a matter of uncertainty and argument. From some quarters, traditional roles for men and women are ridiculed. And standing firm in a healthy, well-functioning family is harder than ever. So how can you have a happy home? How can you pass on strong morals to your children in a world going awry? By following God's divine plan for family life," writes Bible teacher, pastor, father, and grandfather John MacArthur in this book. There's no magic formula. There's no gimmick. It's not about how many times you do something, or who is in charge of this or that, or what kind of processes or methods you use. It comes down to answering these questions: "Am I committed to obedience to the Spirit of God? Am I committed to the controlling influences of the Word of God? Am I going to live out a Christian life?" If you can answer yes to all of those questions, then you are bound to have a successful, fulfilled, God-honoring family life.

Book Description
How would you describe the spiritual aroma of your home? The source of this aroma is the relationship between husband and wife. Many can fake an attempt at keeping God's standards in some external way. What we cannot fake is the resulting, distinctive aroma of pleasure to God. Reforming Marriage does what few books on marriage do today: it provides biblical advice. Douglas Wilson points to the need for obedient hearts on the part of both husbands and wives. Godly marriages proceed from obedient hearts, and the greatest desire of an obedient heart is the glory of God.

Book Description
The release of the landmark first edition of God, Marriage, and Family provided an integrated, biblical treatment of God's purposes for the home. Since then, explain authors Andreas Köstenberger and David Jones, the crisis confronting modern households has only intensified, and yet the solution remains the same: obedience to and application of God's Word. In the second edition of God, Marriage, and Family, Köstenberger and Jones explore the latest controversies, cultural shifts, and teachings within both the church and society and further apply Scripture's timeless principles to contemporary issues. This new edition includes an assessment of the family-integrated church movement; discussion of recent debates on corporal punishment, singleness, homosexuality, and divorce and remarriage; new sections on the theology of sex and the parenting of teens; and updated bibliographies. This book will prove to be a valuable resource for personal and group study, Christian counseling, and marriage and family courses.

Book Description
The universe is teeming with the potential for intelligent life, while nanotechnology and gene crispers are becoming everyday realities. Against this backdrop of modern wonders and scientific awe, The Bible and its God have become suspect, reduced to a book full of myths. Yet the God of Christianity is more majestic than even His greatest advocates concede. What He revealed to the world through His Son and the Holy Paradigm, as I call it, is astonishing. A new humanity fully adopted into its Creator's family and inheritors of His Son's Person, the most valuable treasure in the Universe or ten thousand of them. But the story of Jesus, the God man who died for the world has become passé, being mocked publicly in entertainment and considered archaic myth, no longer able to guide our society. And this dilemma robs humanity of its destiny. It robs us of choice and the offer of salvation in The Bible which many no longer will consider, seeing its message as one of division and segregation. Our beliefs shape and influence our thoughts, and The Bible provides us a unique perspective on God’s plan for His creation. Without it, we are blindly leading others off a cliff. To grasp truths from the past, we must reconsider the traditions of the present. The incarnation of Christ was the most revealing and intimate act imaginable. Jesus claimed he was the Way, the Truth, the Life, and that eternity was defined by His person. Though made in His image, we no longer recognized God. And He is a stranger in His own world. I want to show you a “Vision of Everything”, how every particle of reality fits into the grand narrative of God’s creation. You’re a key player on a stage so vast that you’ll never comprehend it all, and more valuable than you can imagine. Without offering you an actual blue or red pill, I invite you to keep reading, and decide.

Book Description
Illustrates the hidden challenges embedded within the evangelical adoption movement. For over a decade, prominent leaders and organizations among American Evangelicals have spent a substantial amount of time and money in an effort to address what they believe to be the “Orphan Crisis” of the United States. Yet, despite an expansive commitment of resources, there is no reliable evidence that these efforts have been successful. Adoptions are declining across the board, and both foster parenting and foster-adoptions remain steady. Why have evangelical mobilization efforts been so ineffective? To answer this question, Samuel L. Perry draws on interviews with over 220 movement leaders and grassroots families, as well as national data on adoption and fostering, to show that the problem goes beyond orphan care. Perry argues that evangelical social engagement is fundamentally self-limiting and difficult to sustain because their subcultural commitments lock them into an approach that does not work on a practical level. Growing God’s Family ultimately reveals this peculiar irony within American evangelicalism by exposing how certain aspects of the evangelical subculture may stimulate activism to address social problems, even while these same subcultural characteristics undermine their own strategic effectiveness. It provides the most recent analysis of dominant elements within the evangelical subculture and how that subculture shapes the engagement strategies of evangelicals as a group.
