Le projet GEPEL (groupe d'échange de pratiques en ligne) a été expérimenté sur la région PACA entre avril 2010 et juin 2011. L'objectif de notre étude est d'évaluer la satisfaction des médecins participants, ainsi que de dégager des recommandations pour des projets ultérieurs. Un premier questionnaire été envoyé par mail à l'ensemble des 107 participants au GEPEL au bout de six mois, et un deuxième à l'issue de l'expérience. Les deux questionnaires interrogeaient les médecins sur leur degré de satisfaction, et demandaient de lister les points positifs et négatifs. L'analyse statistique a utilisé le test du chi2 et la régression logistique pour rechercher les déterminants du niveau de satisfaction, les tests ont été interprétés avec un risque de première espèce égal à 0,05. 79 médecins ont répondu au premier questionnaire (73,8%) et 63 au questionnaire final (58,9%). Le taux de satisfaction est de 91% dans le premier questionnaire, dans le dernier questionnaire 81% souhaitent poursuivre le GEPEL l'année suivante. 66,7% déclarent avoir modifié leur pratique dans le sens des RBP (recommandations de bonnes pratiques). Aucun lien statistique n'est retrouvé entre les caractéristiques du panel et le degré de satisfaction. En conclusion, la formation médicale en ligne permet une souplesse de l'organisation des réunions et un gain de temps tout en conservant l’efficacité de l’EPP. Des médecins exerçant en zone rurale éloignée ont ainsi eu la possibilité de rompre un certain isolement professionnel. Il serait cependant intéressant de mesurer l'impact sur le changement de pratique de manière objective. Le principal frein de cette méthode concerne la technique ; La grande majorité des problèmes soulevés pourraient être résolus en proposant une formation initiale adaptée.
