For it was while we were yet sinners that he died for us and not for us only, but for the whole wide world so that all who believed in Him would not perish, but have everlasting life. This is love and He, God loves YOU with an everlasting love.

Book Description
An insightful journey through all the biblical names of God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Beginning in Babel and ending with a burning Babylon, The Name Quest explains the significance that the different names for God have for an everyday relationship with God and for spiritual growth. The names of God are like a rainbow--each name expresses part of the spectrum of the character and attributes of God. Along the way, the author tenderly answers tough questions: Which of the Hebrew names of God is His personal name--Yahweh or Jehovah? What does it mean to pray in Jesus’ name? How can we relate to the Holy God and the Judge? Why is a God of love called the “Jealous God”? What does it mean to call Jesus the Messiah? The Name Quest mentions all the names of God in the Bible while explaining their significance in ordinary language. The author weaves together fifteen years of Bible study research with plentiful illustrations and humorous anecdotes. These include lessons learned as a pastor on a Caribbean island. A visit to a Welsh hill farm introduces a chapter about the Good Shepherd. The story of a Hungarian political prisoner illustrates the meaning of Immanuel (or is it Emmanuel?) A rescue from the slopes of an active volcano helps explain salvation and the meaning of Jesus’ Hebrew name Yeshua. Even the clever advertisement on a packet of potato chips offers a lesson about how to grow in faith in God. Unlike chasing rainbows, the spiritual journey has an end. The Name Quest is a road map for every Christian’s spiritual journey and it points to the destination--being formed into the image of Jesus Christ. The Name Quest examines God's names in chapters about God's character or things that He has done. Most of God's names reflect His character. For instance a chapter on holiness mentions all the names connected to that attribute. The index of names makes this book an excellent reference tool. People who read part of a chapter a day say it makes a good devotional too.

Book Description
The kingdom of God and the atonement are two of the most important themes in all of Scripture. Tragically, theologians have often either set the two at odds or focused on one to the complete neglect of the other. In The Crucified King, Jeremy Treat demonstrates that Scripture presents a mutually enriching relationship between the kingdom and atonement that draws significantly from the story of Israel and culminates in the crucifixion of Christ the king. As Israel’s messiah, he holds together the kingdom and the cross by bringing God’s reign on earth through his atoning death. The kingdom is the ultimate goal of the cross, and the cross is the means by which the kingdom comes. Jesus’ death is not the failure of his messianic ministry, nor simply the prelude to his royal glory, but is the apex of his kingdom mission. The cross is the throne from which he rules and establishes his kingdom. Using a holistic approach that brings together the insights of biblical and systematic theology, this book demonstrates not only that the kingdom and the cross are inseparable, but how they are integrated in Scripture and theology.

Book Description
Reflecting on the practice of disciple making in young adult, college, graduate, and local church contexts, Jonathan Dodson has discerned some common pitfalls. For many, discipleship is reduced to a form of religious performance before God. For others, it devolves into spiritual license and a loose adherence to spiritual facts. Both approaches distort biblical motivations for Christian obedience and are in need of reform. By explaining various motivations for discipleship, Dodson charts a biblically faithful, grace-driven alternative. Additionally, he provides a practical model for creating gospel-centered discipleship groups—small, reproducible, missional, gender-specific groups of believers that fight for faith together. This book blends both theology and practice to inspire and equip Christians to effectively fight sin, keep Jesus central, and make gospel-centered discipleship a way of life. Both new and growing Christians will learn to trust the gospel in community as they fight together for holiness as well as how to start gospel-centered community groups in any local church.

Book Description
"I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." John 14:3 The Final Chapter From Billy Graham. Experience the glory of heaven as Billy Graham, the beloved evangelist, shares from his past, and his present, the reality of eternity. As our nation and world travail in the midst of political, economic, and cultural uncertainties, we can find comfort in the hope that comes from the unchanging truth of God’s Word. Whether talking with a US president, a world leader, or the common man or being interviewed on network television, Billy Graham has always begun his answers with “The Bible says…” In Where I Am, Mr. Graham shares what the Bible has to say about eternity from all of its sixty-six books; messages of truth, warning, love, and the certainty of the future, all gleaned by a man who would like to be remembered solely as a preacher of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The greatest promise ever given to the human race came from the lips of our Redeemer when Jesus said, “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me...I go to prepare a place for you...I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also” (John 14:1–3). Just after his ninety-fifth birthday, Mr. Graham proclaimed with resolve, “When I die, tell others that I’ve gone to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ—that’s where I am.”

Book Description
An invitation for overachievers to discover what it means to rest as God's daughters without compromising their God-given design as doers. Are you a Martha who feels guilty for not being a Mary? Do you want to sit at Jesus’s feet as Mary did—but you feel the need to get things done? In Made Like Martha, Katie M. Reid invites you to exchange try-hard striving for hope-filled freedom without abandoning your doer’s heart in the process. Through her own story and rich biblical illustrations, Katie reminds you that it’s not important whether you sit and listen or stand and work. What matters is that your spiritual posture is one of a beloved daughter who knows she doesn’t need to earn God’s love. Your desire to get things done is not something to temper but something to embrace as you serve from a place of strength and peace—knowing Christ already did His most important work for you on the cross. With “It Is Finished” activities at the end of each chapter and a fiveweek Bible study included, Made Like Martha helps you find rest from striving even as you celebrate your God-given design to “do.” “Made Like Martha will infuse your life with a fresh perspective as you learn both to embrace your God-given personality and also discover how—and when—to rest and retreat.” —Karen Ehman, Proverbs 31 Ministries speaker and New York Times bestselling author of Keep It Shut

Book Description
If Jesus Christ is not God, of the same essence with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit, having all the attributes of the Trinity while on earth as well as while He reigned in Heaven, then we, of all men, are most miserable. And how do we know that He is, and always has been, God from eternity? It is written in the Holy Scriptures. But what if the version of the Bible we read is ambivalent, in one place saying He is co-equal with God, and in another place denying Him one or more of the attributes that are essential to God? Read this book and you will see that all but three of the new versions are guilty of denying Christ's goodness, sinlessness, omnipresence, omniscience, omnipotence, and a dozen more of the attributes of God. You will see it written in black and white, with exact quotations from eight of the new versions. This important challenge to the trend so evident in the new versions (the despising of the words God-breathed out through the prophets and apostles, and the mixing in of the corrupt wisdom of men), ought to be supported by every one of you who love God and His Word as HB wrote it.

Book Description
“I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit.” Jesus spoke these words to His disciples on the eve of His death. His disciples were with Him for three years while He trained them in order to send them into the world. Jesus had every expectation they would continue the mission and bear fruit. This would prove they were truly His disciples. Therefore, are we truly followers of Jesus if we opt-out of fulfilling His mission? Can we say our lives are committed to Jesus if we have little concern for His plan? To answer these questions, we must begin to examine what type of gospel we believe. The gospel we believe will produce the disciple we become. In addition, we will reproduce what we know in the lives of others. Reproducing a false gospel or an incomplete gospel perpetuates an unhealthy cycle. At best, this cycle produces immature Christians and at worst, it produces false converts. It is imperative we begin here. Jesus spoke often of the Kingdom of God, but do we know what this means or why it is important? We should know because the Kingdom of God is the context for the gospel and the Great Commission. Like the gospel, the Kingdom of God is a necessary talking point for all other talking points found in this book. Strive with Me invites women into a process that unfolds with each chapter. It calls women to come with teachable hearts which are open to honest self-reflection and examination of our Christian women’s culture. It invites women to abandon patterns hindering them from fulfilling what Jesus commanded them to do. It challenges women to deconstruct unbiblical cycles, focus their minds on Scripture, and participate in the mission of the Kingdom of God. Challenging books on these topics have been written by some godly men. We need their wisdom. However, it is time we as women take a hard look into our lives and our circles too. It is time we answer the call to abide in the Scriptures, grow spiritually according to the biblical definition, and make disciples. We are responsible to train and raise up the next generation of women. Jesus has appointed us to accomplish this task while there is still breath in our lungs and so prove to be His disciples. Will you answer the call?
