Le but de cette étude est d'évaluer le programme, de déterminer s'il a un impact sur les sorties précoces et secondairement de trouver s'il existe des freins à ces mêmes sorties. Au final le taux d'adhésion en anténatal au programme peut être amélioré, il y a bien une augmentation du nombre de sorties précoces et je n'ai confirmé que deux freins: il y a significativement moins de sorties précoce quand on accouche entre 18h et l0h et l'unité d'hospitalisation a un impact sur le type de sortie.

Une enquête prospective au C.H.R.U. de Tours dans les services de suites de couches entre le 1er juin et le 18 septembre 2006 auprès de 158 femmes a permis de connaître leur vécu du séjour et leur avis sur la durée d'hospitalisation. Elle a également évalué les besoins du couple mère enfant à domicile et la survenue de complications médicales lors des sorties au 3ème et 4ème jour après l'accouchement. Ce travail a souligné l'intérêt des femmes pour une sortie précoce et la nécessité d'un suivi lors du retour à domicile qu'il convient de mettre en place. La sage-femme tient le rôle central dans ce dispositif.
