Contexte : les serious games ou jeux sérieux sont des jeux à objectif pédagogique. Le syndrome vertigineux étant un motif de consultation fréquent et mal maitrisé par la profession médicale, nous avons proposé un jeu sérieux de simulation de consultation axé sur le vertige aigu aux étudiants en médecine. Objectif principal : Il s'agit d'une étude prospective, monocentrique et comparative avec groupe contrôle réalisée à la faculté de médecine de Bordeaux. Le but de cette étude est de prouver le caractère pédagogique de la réalisation d'un serious game portant sur le vertige en ORL en plus de l'apprentissage classique auprès d'une population d'externes en quatrième année d'étude médicale pendant l'année scolaire 2020 à 2021. Matériels et Méthodes : les étudiants volontaires ont tous suivi l'apprentissage classique et ont répondu à un test de connaissance sur le vertige en ORL noté sur 100 points (10 QRM). Les étudiants ont été randomisés entre groupe contrôle et groupe jeu. Le groupe jeu a réalisé un exercice de simulation de consultation sur internet mettant en scène une patiente souffrant de névrite vestibulaire. Le même test de connaissance a été proposé à quatre semaines au groupe contrôle et au groupe jeu afin de comparer les progrès de chaque groupe. Résultats : en comparant les résultats entre le groupe contrôle (n=75) et le groupe jeu (n=59), nous ne retrouvons pas de différence significative au premier questionnaire (avant serious game). Nous avons mis en évidence une différence significative au deuxième questionnaire (après serious game) entre le groupe contrôle (46,9 points) et le groupe jeu (68,1 points). Le groupe contrôle n'a pas fait de progrès significatif entre les deux questionnaires. Conclusion : l'utilisation d'un serious game en plus de l'enseignement classique semble avoir un impact positif sur l'apprentissage des étudiants à 1 mois. De nouvelles études sont souhaitables afin d'évaluer cette efficacité à distance.
