L'amélioration de la prescription médicamenteuse chez le sujet âgé (plus de 75 ans ou plus de 65 ans polypathologique) est un enjeu majeur de santé publique. L'objectif de notre étude est d'établir un bilan des pratiques courantes de prescription des thymorégulateurs chez les sujets âgés hospitalisés en psychiatrie au Centre Hospitalier Sainte-Anne. Notre étude a été réalisée sur six journées entre avril et septembre 2014. Pour chacun des 48 patients inclus dans l'étude, ont été étudiés la prescription du jour de l'enquête, les bilans biologiques lors de l'hospitalisation et le dossier patient. L'analyse des résultats nous permet de mettre en évidence des points à améliorer comme la prescription des benzodiazépines, des médicaments anticholinergiques, d'associations de psychotropes de même classe thérapeutique, le suivi du ionogramme sanguin et du bilan nutritionnel.
