Book Description
"The French and Indian War (1754-1763), the North American theater of the Seven Years' War, would change the map of the continent and set the stage for the American Revolution. The conflict, which pitted the French and their Indian allies against the English, has often been misunderstood and largely received minor treatment in most general histories of America. To some, the name of the war itself has been puzzling and somewhat misleading because Britain also had Indian allies during the war. The war represented a culmination of a century-old struggle for control of North America. The clash was inevitable. English settlers increasingly pushed westward and northward from their original settlements on the east coast, displacing the French and Native Americans. The French population in North America, approximately 55,000 by the middle of the eighteenth century, lived principally along the St. Lawrence River; but New France claimed a vast amount of territory to the west, linked by a string of isolated trading posts and forts. In contrast, the population of the English colonies had expanded from a quarter million inhabitants in 1700 to 1.2 million by 1750. English land companies soon began to encroach on territories claimed by the French. To defend their land holdings, the French built a series of substantial fortifications on the strategic water routes of their empire, including along the Richelieu River-Lake Champlain corridor" -- Introd.

Hidden in Plain Sight
Author: Mark Davidson
Publisher: Xulon Press
ISBN: 1619960257
Category : Bible
Languages : en
Pages : 264
Book Description
Hidden in Plain Sight is a book about Bible end-times prophecy, but ti is not typical. Starting with the assumption that the Antichrist may turn out to be a Muslim and not a Roman, the book uses historical sources to show that Bible prophecy actually argues for a Muslim Antichrist. Then, using this new way of looking at prophecy, this book explores several Bible passages, revealing a series of events that must take place before the Tribulation. Where the Bible was thought to be silent about the years leading up to the Tribulation, it actually has much to say.

The Kingdom of the Beast and the End of the World
Author: J. C. Alexander
Publisher: RevelationStation.com
ISBN: 9781932124538
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 390
Book Description
Authoritative, bold and different. The final word on prophecy. Written in everyday language. It's not often that a book comes along that causes you to reexamine everything that you have ever learned on a particular subject. In a manner reminiscent of The Prayer of Jabez and The Purpose Driven Live, The Kingdom of the Beast takes you on a journey of enlightenment that will leave you satisfied that you finally understood what the end time prophecies are all about. There are no magic formulas for interpreting the prophecies other than accepting what is written. This book convincingly, and scripturally, moves the reader beyond some of the traditional man made ideas that have confused the Church and kept it from coming to a unified understanding of the prophecies, and then opens things up witha down to earth simplicity.
