In a wealthy New York suburb, forty-one-year-old divorced mom Sara Turner is juggling a new fiancé, a new TV career, and a Newcomer’s Club that throws sex-toy parties. Her dearest friend, Kate Steele, a hotshot Park Avenue skin doctor, is being romanced by a real estate mogul who happens to be married. And Sara’s new neighbor, Berni Davis, has just quit her high-powered career to have twins, trading in the fast track for the cul-de-sac. At a time in life when women expect to find doors closing, Sara, Kate, and Berni find new options and unexpected twists: a baby shower starring a male stripper, a long-gone husband’s surprise return, a seductive ex-wife’s sudden advances, and a hunky soap star waiting in the wings. In a world where women spend their forties trying to look thirty, these savvy friends help one another keep their priorities straight. Most of the time.

Book Description
Queer Journey embraces the personal challenges that gay teenagers and gay men deal with in their lives. It captivates readers as his words take you from childhood to his adulthood. In his candid language and personal case history, Dr. Alexis Rodriguez writes how he disguised his own sexuality with childhood depression, low self-esteem and self-destructive behavior. In this “say all” autobiography, he writes about growing up gay and the issues he dealt with as a gay man. He describes the dilemma of his closeted heterosexual marriage and his affairs with men. As his sexuality continued to evolve and surface, so did his self-destructive behavior. Alcohol, drugs and prostitution ultimately led him to reach rock bottom. His words are inspirational and touching to those that are in similar circumstances. Rodriguez writes about becoming a survivor.

Book Description
From podcast host Sutanya Dacres comes Dinner for One, an unforgettable memoir of how she rebuilt her life after her American-in-Paris fairy tale shattered, starting with cooking dinner for herself in her Montmartre kitchen When Sutanya Dacres married her French boyfriend and moved to Paris at twenty-seven, she felt like she was living out her very own Nora Ephron romantic comedy. Jamaican-born and Bronx-raised, she had never dreamed she herself could be one of those American women in Paris she admired from afar via their blogs, until she met the man of her dreams one night in Manhattan. A couple of years later, she married her Frenchman and moved to Paris, embarking on her own “happily-ever-after.” But when her marriage abruptly ended, the fairy tale came crashing down around her. Reeling from her sudden divorce and the cracked facade of that picture-perfect expat life, Sutanya grew determined to mend her broken heart and learn to love herself again. She began by cooking dinner for one in her Montmartre kitchen. Along the way, she builds Parisienne friendships, learns how to date in French, and examines what it means to be a Black American woman in Paris—all while adopting the French principle of pleasure, especially when it comes to good food, and exploring what the concept of self-care really means. Brimming with charm, humor, and hard-won wisdom, Sutanya's story takes you on an adventure through love, loss, and finding where you truly belong, even when it doesn’t look quite how you expected.

Book Description
This novel, set in 1963, recounts the story of Blair Fusco, an aspiring eighteen-year-old who wishes to become a successful hairstylist, and prove wrong those who regard him as queer, particularly his father. Perceived to be homosexual, and ridiculed for his effeminate characteristics, Blair struggles to find his personal and professional identity. A first foiled romance with a lesbian and several equivocal relationships with mature women, together with his initiation into a group of local mobsters, transform Fusco into a shrewd operator. After many adventures and vicissitudes, he becomes the prime suspect in the murder of his client/partner Robin Maxwell and her maid, Anne. Since Blair is the only suspect, and the police are unable to find the culprit, he is compelled to fight for his innocence. The young hairdresser pins his hopes on a few strands of hair found in one of the corpse's hands, which he believes came from a wig, and should hold a clue as to who murdered Robin. If Blair Fusco wants to exonerate himself and resolve the murders, he must find the culprit himself, unless he's willing to spend the rest of his days cutting hair in a penitentiary.
