Ghostly tales of strange things lurking in forbidden places tie these three stories together. The boys have been warned not to go into a certain room while they are pet-sitting for the neighbor, but, of course, their bravado leads to a session of one-upmanship and the distinct possibility that the cats they are looking after may not be cats at all. Stories from Russia, the United States, and the West Indies are highlighted.

Book Description
Marco Polo Didn’t Go There is a collection of rollicking travel tales from a young writer USA Today has called “Jack Kerouac for the Internet Age.” For the past ten years, Rolf Potts has taken his keen postmodern travel sensibility into the far fringes of five continents for such prestigious publications as National Geographic Traveler, Salon.com, and The New York Times Magazine. This book documents his boldest, funniest, and most revealing journeys—from getting stranded without water in the Libyan desert, to crashing the set of a Leonardo DiCaprio movie in Thailand, to learning the secrets of Tantric sex in a dubious Indian ashram. Marco Polo Didn’t Go There is more than just an entertaining journey into fascinating corners of the world. The book is a unique window into travel writing, with each chapter containing a “commentary track”—endnotes that reveal the ragged edges behind the experience and creation of each tale. Offbeat and insightful, this book is an engrossing read for students of travel writing as well as armchair wanderers.

Book Description
A lot of professors give talks titled 'The Last Lecture'. Professors are asked to consider their demise and to ruminate on what matters most to them: What wisdom would we impart to the world if we knew it was our last chance? If we had to vanish tomorrow, what would we want as our legacy? When Randy Pausch, a computer science professor at Carnegie Mellon, was asked to give such a lecture, he didn't have to imagine it as his last, since he had recently been diagnosed with terminal cancer. But the lecture he gave, 'Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams', wasnt about dying. It was about the importance of overcoming obstacles, of enabling the dreams of others, of seizing every moment (because time is all you have and you may find one day that you have less than you think). It was a summation of everything Randy had come to believe. It was about living. In this book, Randy Pausch has combined the humour, inspiration, and intelligence that made his lecture such a phenomenon and given it an indelible form. It is a book that will be shared for generations to come.

Book Description
Let’s Not Go There: A Narrative Concerning Certain Biblical Neglected and the Passed Over Fullness of Some Scriptural Texts Are We a Shared World By: Donald Remedis This writing looks at a person of the bible in both the Old and New Testaments as an accepted entity along with his achievements. In contrast, an ancestor of this same person and even being quoted from in the Old and New Biblical Testaments is overall considered persona non gratis. The total of his words is to be avoided at all costs. These same words passed on down through time were considered so Holy that they were adhered to and even used as to be followed the same as any God believability Hebrew Holy works. As time passed and even in our time comes the question of why was and is it discarded except a few quotes from it. An aside note: If there are quotes being used does that not show there has to be some creditability of Enoch. Also, an addendum now by way of the archeological findings as to his existence being proved but also there is evidence of his endeavors, his closeness to his family and copies of his tellings. Another point to ponder is the time of Enoch which was within Adam and Eve’s time and the earthly world was not in a full functioning mode, if you will. These factors are and will be important useful pieces of information later on. And so again, there comes the question of is there a reason for the evasion of Enoch and is there an answer. Read on.
