Ce mémoire m’a permis de m’intéresser au monde du travail des personnes en situation de handicap. J’ai constaté qu’il existait de nombreux types de handicaps résultant de déficiences isolées ou associées, d’où la nécessité de définir et de classer ses différentes population. C’est la loi du II février 2005 sur l’égalité des droits et des chances, la participation et la citoyenneté des personnes handicapées, qui a donné un cadre législatif, en reconnaissant le droit au travail à toute personne pouvant y accéder, ainsi qu’un cadre administratit par la création de différents organismes sociaux en relation directe avec le monde du handicap. Deux dispositifs importants sont à retenir dans le cadre de cette loi : l’instauration pour chaque personne handicapée d’un projet individualisé, et l’obligation pour les entreprises de plus de 20 salariés de participer à leur hauteur au financement de ces projets. Mon stage, au sein de l’association de parents d’enfants inadaptés de la région dieppoise, m’a permis de connaitre les moyens d’applications de ces principes. Pour cela, j’ai observé le fonctionnement des ateliers d’Etran, en tant qu’entreprise protégée mais aussi comme passerelle pour quelques-uns vers le milieu ordinaire. En somme, de cette expérience, j’ai retenu que chaque personne était différente, pour certain, le travail était un aboutissement, mais que pour d’autre il était malgré tout inaccessible, d’où la nécessité d’une protection sociale et institutionnelle.
