Book Description
The subject of Spiritual Warfare must become common place if unsuspecting souls are to avoid major disaster. Presently and at best this subject is designated peripheral and perhaps trivial and at worst it is hardly mentioned or dismissed as irrelevant. This book presents a biblical view of this important subject with the thesis and conclusion that it deserves greater prominence in the life of every living soul. This is because there are other crucial teachings tied so intricately to what affects all people such as those of faith, apostasy and perseverance. While one could argue faith and apostasy are only matters for those who are religious, everyone recognizes the need to persevere through life. And people of faith realize the need to endure to attain life. The emphasis of this author and those who have gone before him see good cause to review this topic of Spiritual Warfare and consider carefully whether it belongs in a daily practical sense with the essentials of the Christian faith. Essentials have always been recognized as beliefs that affect ones salvation or eternal well-being. The Bible from beginning to end addresses a people who must battle to receive a portion and inheritance promised by God. It is to those whom He calls to Himself and who show themselves to be His chosen people that He designates `overcomers'. The Scripture breaks down the whole of the human race into two major groups of people variously defined. The seed of the woman and the seed of the serpent are the children of God and those of the devil. The former are attacked by the latter and their only means of true spiritual defense is to trust the Lord and live out the will of God. This activity not only sifts and seals the destiny of those in the respective categories previously stated but this warfare shapes and distinguishes those worthy of a heavenly inheritance and an everlasting reward. The author endeavors to present a compelling case that Spiritual Warfare is intricately tied to the soul's eternal destiny and thus deserves greater ascendancy in Christian teaching. He claims that because of its practical influence towards integrity and eternal salvation or by its neglect to hypocrisy and Hell's unending fire. Character matters and what one believes about eternity, spiritual battles and the devil's part in the world pertaining to those things will find this book a true help.

Book Description
Whole Heart is about the authenticity of who our heavenly Father is. Taking Him out of the category in many of our minds of this Being we find hard to relate to and inspiring believers to go deeper into their relationship with the Father, employing the same effort or better that we give in our human relationships. This book is important to the body of Christ, because it diffuses much of the license-versus-legalism extremes and the resulting division that exists in our Church today. When the revelation Dawns on the body about who Christ was, the division in the church should be dissolved, and we begin to look more like the spotless bride God always intended for us to be. All of our relationships, and especially those with our Creator, will gain intimacy; and it will be a direct result of the balance we've achieved between law and grace. Love and Discipline. And that these attributes are complementary, not antagonistic like the accuser of the brethren would have us to believe

Book Description
In his famous Manifesto of 1890, Mormon church president Wilford Woodruff called for an end to the more than fifty-year practice of polygamy. Fifteen years later, two men were dramatically expelled from the Quorum of Twelve Apostles for having taken post-Manifesto plural wives and encouraged the step by others. Evidence reveals, however, that hundreds of Mormons (including several apostles) were given approval to enter such relationships after they supposedly were banned. Why would Mormon leaders endanger agreements allowing Utah to become a state and risk their church's reputation by engaging in such activities--all the while denying the fact to the world? This book seeks to find the answer through a review of the Mormon polygamous experience from its beginnings. In the course of national debate over polygamy, Americans generally were unbending in their allegiance to monogamy. Solemn Covenant provides the most careful examination ever undertaken of Mormon theological, social, and biological defenses of "the principle". Although polygamy was never a way of life for the majority of Latter-day Saints in the nineteenth century, Carmon Hardy contends that plural marriage enjoyed a more important place in the Saints' restorationist vision than most historians have allowed. Many Mormons considered polygamy a prescription for health, an antidote for immorality, and a key to better government. Despite intense pressure from the nation to end the experiment, because of their belief in its importance and gifts, polygamy endured as an approved arrangement among church members well into the twentieth century. Hardy demonstrates how Woodruff's Manifesto of 1890 evolved from a tactic to preservepolygamy into a revelation now used to prohibit it. Solemn Covenant examines the halting passage followed by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as it transformed itself into one of America's most vigilant champions of the monogamous way.

Book Description
As a historian of a different making, Francisco seeks to capture the heart of his past and that of spirituality through lifetime memories from boyhood days in Shanghai and Macau to day dreams as a young man in Hong Kong, from new family life in San Francisco as a naturalized citizen to rebirth of mind through a number of pilgrimages to Fatima, Medjugorje and Moscow with his extended family. Together with his spiritual partner and second wife of 30 years Terry, he witnessed the crowning of the Blessed Virgin Mary at the Red Square in Moscow for the 75th Anniversary of the ‘Fatima Apparition’ in Portugal. As just two amongst one thousand plus of God’s children from bishops to priests, theologians, brothers, sisters, youths and other laypersons that were there that day, they joined together at the 1992 World Youth Congress in Moscow to share a very special message with the world about the need for change. It was a message of ‘WARNING’ as prophesized by the Blessed Virgin, the Mother of God, on Sunday the 13th of May in the year 1917. But more importantly, it was also a call for love and spiritual renewal. There has been no phenomenon like it ever before recorded, but the miracle of the sun in Fatima continues to shine bright even at the darkest of times and is the hope behind this book. Many of history’s greatest thinkers have wrestled with the question of belief and non-belief in God through their literary circles and often simply by the way they have lived their lives: 1) “Is there a God?” and 2) “Why would He care about me?” Those are profound and universal questions considered in the first two books of this family story and re-visited here in this third encounter in trilogy. Though it might seem unlikely that any new arguments can be raised from either side between Science and Theology on Christendom, ultimately, each reader needs to ask through his or her own voice of Faith this question of GOD and His existence. It is at that spiritual juncture of question and answer that mankind may decide which path to follow. As seminarian students, Terry and Francis took three years of theology at St. Patrick Seminary & University in Menlo Park under the Diaconate Formation Program with the hopes of Francisco becoming a deacon with the Class of 2006. Though God had other plans for Francisco, both husband and wife humbly served at the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption in San Francisco and at St. Bruno Church of the San Francisco Archdiocese for three decades. This soulful dialogue is for anyone seeking out answers about Judeo-Christian ethics and the belief that GOD reveals all in time.

Understanding the Bible: Head and Heart provides readers a forum for more fully comprehending the Bible. Each book of the Bible tells a story that relates to the larger story, and to understand each books story, it is important to understand the larger story, and vice versa. To do so, however, entails a careful reading of the entire Bible, grasping both the fact of the story and the spirit of the story. Understanding the Bible: Head and Heart provides prose summaries for helping the reader to understand and remember the fact of the story and poetic summaries for helping the reader to experience the story and thereby to more readily ingest its spirit. Since Understanding the Bible: Head and Heart would be lengthy under one cover, it is divided into three parts. Part One addresses the Old Testament, Part Two addresses Matthew through Acts, and Part Threethis publicationaddresses Romans through Revelation.
