Excerpt from Contributions to the Edinburgh Review I wrote the first article in the first Number of the Review in October 1802 z - end my lut'contribution to it, in October 1840! N is along period, to have persevered in - or in ill doing! But I was by no means equally alert tn the service during all the i mediate time.
