Forest product conversion factors
Author: Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations
Publisher: Food & Agriculture Org.
ISBN: 9251322473
Category : Technology & Engineering
Languages : en
Pages : 70
Book Description
Forest products conversion factors provides ratios of raw material input to the output of wood-based forest products for 37 countries of the world. Analysts, policymakers, forest practitioners and forest-based manufacturers often have a need for this information for understanding the drivers of efficiency, feasibility and economics of the sector. In addition, conversion factors are often needed to convert from one unit of measure to another. The publication also includes explanations on the units of measure, the drivers of the ratios, as well as information on physical properties of wood-based forest products. Finally, where reported factors were unavailable, factors from other sources are given.

Popular Measures
Author: Amy M. E. Morris
Publisher: University of Delaware Press
ISBN: 9780874138658
Category : History
Languages : en
Pages : 302
Book Description
Popular Measures examines the influence of Congregationalist church practices on poetry and poetics in early New England. It considers how the rejection of set prayers, and the privileging of more spontaneous oral forms (such as the plain-style sermon and the conversion narrative) in colonial churches influenced the style of locally written religious verse. The book consists of an overview of church practices and their implications for poetry, followed by a series of case studies focusing on texts written at different stages of the colony's development from 1640 to 1700: the Bay Psalm Book, Michael Wigglesworth's The Day of Doom, and Edward Taylor's Gods Determinations. The investigation concludes that colonial religious writers transformed the poetic conventions they had inherited from England in order to enhance the effectiveness of their verse in a culture that portrayed forms and formality as, at best, able to lead an individual only halfway on the journey towards salvation. --University of Delaware Press.

Data Conversion
Author: Patricia Pulliam Phillips
Publisher: John Wiley & Sons
ISBN: 1119254760
Category : Business & Economics
Languages : en
Pages : 115
Book Description
This book tackles the third major challenge and the second most difficult step in the ROI methodology: converting data to monetary values. When a particular project or program is connected to a business measure, the next logical question is: what is the monetary value of that impact? For ROI analysis, it is at this critical point where the monetary benefits are developed to compare to the costs of the program to calculate the ROI. Includes: the importance of converting data to monetary value; preliminary issues; standard values: the standard values: where to find them; using internal experts, using external databases; linking with other measures; using estimates; when to abandon conversion efforts and leave data as intangible, analyzing the intangibles; and reporting the intangibles.
