This book is open access under a CC BY 4.0 license. This textbook, endorsed by the European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT), provides adult and paediatric nurses with a full and informative guide covering all aspects of transplant nursing, from basic principles to advanced concepts. It takes the reader on a journey through the history of transplant nursing, including essential and progressive elements to help nurses improve their knowledge and benefit the patient experience, as well as a comprehensive introduction to research and auditing methods. This new volume specifically intended for nurses, complements the ESH-EBMT reference title, a popular educational resource originally developed in 2003 for physicians to accompany an annual training course also serving as an educational tool in its own right. This title is designed to develop the knowledge of nurses in transplantation. It is the first book of its kind specifically targeted at nurses in this specialist field and acknowledges the valuable contribution that nursing makes in this area. This volume presents information that is essential for the education of nurses new to transplantation, while also offering a valuable resource for more experienced nurses who wish to update their knowledge.

Book Description
One of the most challenging scientific steps of the modern era has been the ability to replace, functionally or anatomically, the failing heart, and in December 2017 we celebrated the 50th anniversary of the world's first human heart transplant. Despite a long and troubled hystory, heart transplantation has dramatically expanded over time, and is currently the ""gold standard"" solution in terms of treatment of refractory end-stage heart failure. Thanks to the contributions by well-known experts in the field, the goal of this book is to provide a framework for successful transplant program development and management. The text reflects the global collective efforts of those who have dedicated countless energy to achieving a better understanding of the details that will ultimately yield better outcomes in terms of teamwork.

Book Description
THE PERIPHERAL T-CELL LYMPHOMAS Provides a comprehensive look at Peripheral T-Cell lymphomas, including the group’s unique geographic distribution, underlying genetics, and novel treatments Peripheral T-Cell lymphomas (PTCL) are a diverse group of lymphoid malignancies that develop from mature T cells and natural killer (NK) cells. PTCL represent 10-15% of all cases of non-Hodgkin lymphoma in the US, and up to 20-25% of cases in South America, Asia, and other regions around the world. The role of different etiologic factors and the variation of geographic distribution makes PTCL one of the most difficult types of cancer to understand and treat. For the first time in a single volume, The Peripheral T-Cell Lymphomas presents a comprehensive survey of this complex and rare group of blood cancers. Featuring contributions from an international team of leading authorities in the various aspects of PTCL, this authoritative text covers biology, epidemiology, classification, approved and emerging drugs, molecular genetics, and more. Detailed clinical chapters address diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of each of the major PTCL subtypes identified in the 2018 WHO Classification of Tumors of Hematopoietic and Lymphoid Tissues. This much-needed resource: Covers the biological basis, epidemiology, classification, and treatment of PTCL Discusses the future of the field, including global collaboration efforts and novel approaches to PCTL Explores the role of biologics in PTCL and autologous and allogeneic stem-cell transplantation Offers new insights on molecular pathogenesis, innovative therapeutics, and novel drug combinations Features contributions from the Chairs The T-Cell Lymphoma Forum: the world’s largest meeting focused on PTCL Reflecting the unique epidemiology and genetic diversity of the PTCL, The Peripheral T-Cell Lymphomas is an indispensable source of data, insight, and references for the medical community, particularly oncologists and hematologists in both training and practice.

Book Description
This text presents an overview of the basic science and principles of high dose chemotherapy, current state-of-the-art techniques and future developments such as gene therapy. The main section of the book is disease-based, setting the scientific principles within a clinical context and reviewing the application of high dose therapy in specific diseases. Additional sections discuss supportive care and long-term complications. High Dose Chemotherapy is directed at hematologists, clinical and medical oncologists in training or with an interest, rather than direct involvement, in the field.

Book Description
Complete with dozens of color clinical photos to aid readers in diagnosis and treatment, this book includes TNM staging, description of the histopathology, and a step-by-step guide through the diagnosis of the disease. It is the most common form of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, generally affecting the skin, though sometimes progressing internally over time. However, there is very little comprehensive information on this subject for dermatologists, dermatopathologists, and oncologists seeking deeper insight into this lymphoma in one all-inclusive text. Clinician’s Guide to Mycosis Fungoides meets this need, covering the history, categories of disorder, molecular analysis, etiology, epidemiology, effect on body systems, disorder symptoms, and treatment. Additionally, the various recommended treatments of mycosis fungoides are explained, using clinical research and case studies as guidance in part stemming from the author’s extensive research on the topic.

Book Description
Non-myeloablative allogeneic stem cell transplantation (also known as mini-transplantation or reduced-intensity conditioning transplantation) is a major advance in the field of hematopoietic transplantation within the last 5 years. This approach uses non-cytotoxic or reduced-intensity cytotoxic therapy to prepare patients for allografting of hematopoietic stem cells and lymphocytes. It has the potential to deliver the potent anti-tumor immunotherapy and bone marrow replacement capacity of allogeneic stem cell transplantation to patients with reduced treatment-related morbidity and mortality. It may also enable allogeneic transplantation in patients who would be considered ineligible for conventional transplants because of co-morbidity or advanced age. However, this approach may necessitate more careful monitoring of post-transplant chimerism and malignant disease-status than is usual with conventional allografting. There is also controversy regarding the best preparative regimen and graft-versus-host disease prophylaxis to use.
