Book Description
Chemical Modeling for Air Resources describes fundamental topics in chemical modeling and its scientific and regulatory applications in air pollution problems, such as ozone hole, acid rain, climate change, particulate matter, and other air toxins. A number of corroborative analysis methods are described to help extract information from model data. With many examples, Chemical Modeling for Air Resources may serve as a textbook for graduate students and reference for professionals in fields of atmospheric science, environmental science and engineering. Presents atmospheric chemical modeling from both scientific and regulatory perspectives Includes a range of topics for each pollutant, including the science of how it forms, its health effects, the regulatory context, and modeling A succinct overview for air quality regulators and industry consultants interested in the most widely used modeling software

Book Description
Based on the print reference books, Chem Sources USA and Chem Sources International, this database contains information about commercially available chemical products. It includes the products of more than 8,000 chemical firms spanning 135 countries. You are able to search in three main categories: the Chemical database, the Application database and the Supplier database. The Chemical database lists over 250,000 chemical compounds. More than 150,000 of these chemicals currently have CAS Registry Numbers and over 60,000 have formulas. There are three ways to search the chemical database: by chemical name, by CAS Registry Number or by formula. You can submit full or partial names. Search results can be further narrowed by geographic region. The Application database allows you to search for specific trade name products or search by application (category) heading. The Trade Name and Classified Sections list over 25,000 chemical trade names. The Supplier database gives all pertinent contact data necessary for making direct inquiries to each chemical firm. Each supplier record includes: company name, address, phone, fax, email & web address (if applicable) and any sales offices. Suppliers can be searched by company name.

Book Description
The volume includes a set of selected papers extended and revised from the 2011 International Conference on Mechanical Engineering and Technology, held on London, UK, November 24-25, 2011. Mechanical engineering technology is the application of physical principles and current technological developments to the creation of useful machinery and operation design. Technologies such as solid models may be used as the basis for finite element analysis (FEA) and / or computational fluid dynamics (CFD) of the design. Through the application of computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), the models may also be used directly by software to create "instructions" for the manufacture of objects represented by the models, through computer numerically controlled (CNC) machining or other automated processes, without the need for intermediate drawings. This volume covers the subject areas of mechanical engineering and technology, and also covers interdisciplinary subject areas of computers, communications, control and automation. We hope that researchers, graduate students and other interested readers benefit scientifically from the book and also find it stimulating in the process.

Book Description
Basic Concepts of Chemistry was originally written over thirty years ago to address the needs of general chemistry students with little or no background in chemistry. Over time, the text has evolved beyond purposes solely aimed at a preparatory chemistry course. For some preparatory chemistry students, a main sequence in general chemistry may follow, but for others, a semester of organic and biochemistry may follow. Other students enroll to simply satisfy a basic science or chemistry requirement. The text was written with a level and functionality designed to accommodate the needs of each of these varied groups of students. Basic Concepts of Chemistry was designed with a flexibility that allows instructors to emphasize or omit certain clearly delineated sections. The mission of the text has evolved in response to the increased diversity of students and the emphasis on outcomes assessment.
