Book Description
Seven years ago, I started to see the number 3 repeatedly. In 2017, I was having lunch with a new person God had placed in my life, and she said that 2017 was the year of Jubilee in the Hebraic calendar. The number 5 represents the year of government, and God perfects things in sevens. The number 5,777 represents 2017 in the Hebraic calendar. I cannot say that 2017 was a year of Jubilee. However, it was the year that I completed G7, so in essence, that was Jubilee. In his book Dispensational Truth, Rev. Clarence Larkin theorized that God rightly divides the Word to address the Jews, the Gentiles, and the Church, which refers to humanity; and God divides the Word by the age in time (history). Larkin states there are 3 Ages, corresponding to the Divine number Three the (Father, Son and Holy Spirit); and into 7 Dispensations, to correspond to the Perfect number Seven composed of the Divine number Three and the World number FourWinter Spring, Summer and Autumn, or the four elements, Earth, Air, Fire and Water. I am no theologian, but Larkins work drew me in while I was writing G7. It is the most complex description of how God reveals completion throughout scripture, from Genesis to Revelation and the church age. Larkin displays imagery with the use of the planets, man, creation, numbers, symbols, and the seasons. I can spend a lifetime trying to understand the revelation of God, but one thing I do know is that when youre hungry for God, the Word is like living water!

G7 Current Account Imbalances
Author: Richard H. Clarida
Publisher: University of Chicago Press
ISBN: 0226107280
Category : Business & Economics
Languages : en
Pages : 518
Book Description
The current account deficit of the United States is more than six percent of its gross domestic product—an all-time high. And the rest of the world, including other G7 countries such as Japan and Germany, must collectively run current account surpluses to finance this deficit. How long can such unevenness between imports and exports be sustained, and what form might their eventual reconciliation take? Putting forth scenarios ranging from a gradual correction to a crash landing for the dollar, G7 Current Account Imbalances brings together economists from around the globe to consider the origins, status, and future of those disparities. An esteemed group of collaborators here examines the role of the bursting of the dot-com bubble, the history of previous episodes of current account adjustments, and the possibility of the Euro surpassing the dollar as the leading international reserve currency. Though there are areas of broad agreement—that the imbalances will ultimately decline and that currency revaluations will be part of the solution—many areas of contention remain regarding both the dangers of imbalances and the possible forms of adjustment. This volume will be of tremendous value to economists, politicians, and business leaders alike as they look to the future of the G7 economies.

Revolution Required
Author: Peter Dittus
Publisher:
ISBN: 9781522031239
Category :
Languages : en
Pages : 123
Book Description
Trust in public policy makers and public institutions is eroding. People sense that something is wrong with the way the political and economic elites in the G7 countries are discharging their responsibilities. This manifesto argues that the finely tuned antenna of people are right: the current trajectory of policies in the G7 countries is leading straight into a systemic crisis. It shows how key policies are irresponsible, whether in the domains of monetary and macro policies, or in the areas of climate change and defence. But these policies are presented as being in the public interest. The mainstream media present news that purport to show that all is well, while independent and critical views receive little coverage. In terms of policy-making, the world has turned up-side down within a few years. Heretical views of five years ago have become mainstream; mainstream analysis of yesterday is seen as not "getting it". The manifesto makes the case for a revolution in thinking if the march of the doomsday clock towards midnight is to be stopped. It advocates the transition from the reckless G7 model to an "economy for the common good". A model today seen as utopia - but that might soon become a categorical imperative.

The G7, Anti-Globalism and the Governance of Globalization
Author: Chiara Oldani
Publisher: Routledge
ISBN: 0429014945
Category : Political Science
Languages : en
Pages : 182
Book Description
The G7, a self-selected club of like-minded industrialized countries, looks at first glance ill-suited to address current anti-globalist concerns. Despite this, it has successfully confronted anti-globalization, populist and protectionist pressures by focussing on concerns surrounding the destruction of the natural environment, immigration, transnational crime, drugs, disease and terrorism, thus demonstrating the social and ecological advantages that globalization brings. Exploring how the world’s oldest informal summit institution continues to respond to rising anti-globalisation, populism and protectionism, this book investigates the contribution the G7 makes to global governance through its actions and accountability of its members. The expert contributors analyse from different perspectives the issues that have contributed to the rise of populism and protectionism, and how well the G7 has responded to them. Each contribution identifies avenues that might allow renewing and strengthening the role of the G7 in times of global change, with a view of strengthening its legitimacy and effectiveness. It will be of interest to policy makers, diplomats, scholars of international relations, international political economy, diplomacy, summitry and global governance. The issues discussed will also be particularly relevant to those working for civil society and non-governmental organizations seeking to participate in governance forums or to influence those who do.
