Book Description
"24 year old ed Becker purchases a house for himself and his expecting wife; a two-flat apartment building, which would allow them to live in one apartment and rent the other. What Ed doesn't know, is that there are already tenants residing in this building that he cannot evict ... Skeptical and street-smart, Ed has a difficult time coming to the realization that this apartment is home to the paranormal. As tensions begin to build between his spouse and himself, he attributes the stress to the new lifestyle they had accumulated, as both property owners and new parents. Coupled with the efforts of working long hours and restoring a dilapidated home, Ed ignores the unusual happenings that have no viable explanation. And what happens when something that wants to be noticed goes unacknowledged? Things escalate ... Read this hauntingly true story, of one of the earliest televised exorcisms in the nation, brought to the forefront by NBC. Interviewed and reported by nationally known news correspondent, Carole Simpson, and conducted by nationally known psychic Joseph DeLouise and exorcist, Rev. William Derl-Davis. Go behind the scenes of the known history of this truly haunted home--one that shattered the dreams of a young couple, and the family that can never leave it."--Page 4 of cover

Book Description
"Borley Rectory was the house that gained infamy as "the most haunted house in England" after its ten-year-long paranormal investigation by the psychic researcher; Harry Price. Price dedicated his life to uncovering the truth behind the paranormal, leading him to become one of the most well-known psychical researchers of all time. It was his investigation into Borley Rectory which by far became the most famous case in Price's long career, eventually leading to the Victorian house being crowned the 'most haunted in England'. This book ... document[s] his ten-year investigation into exploring the nature of paranormal phenomena surrounding Borley Rectory. The rectory was attributed to classic poltergeist activity, wall-writing, mysterious fires and supernatural manifestations. Most notable of these is that of the figure of a nun, known for walking across the garden. Also appearing was a spectral carriage and team of horses driven by a headless coachman. It could be said that the story of Borley Rectory is as much a story of a haunted house and ghosts as it is about the living. Borley's saga includes sensationalist tabloid headlines, a scandalous affair and a captivating investigator whose discoveries are still questioned to this day"--Amazon.com.

The Anthology Horror short stories compiled in this Volume are based on Real Experience and stories of real people. The names used in the stories are names of real person who are either deceased or have survived a violent event or situation. Some changed their name as requested for whatever reason it might serve them. If I am going down a creepy road at night, I would rather be riding a car rather than on foot. It makes me feel a lot safer and moves around quicker. It doesn’t mean you are always safe though. Sometimes unexplained or just something paranormal are waiting to happen. There is a term for such a phenomenon the appearance in consciousness of memory images which are not recognize as such but appear as real. Sleep seems like a simple human rights does it not? Like eating and clothing the body. If you are hungry and came to me for food, would I hesitate to give it to you? Of course not. If you have nothing to wear would I not give you something of my own? Certainly I would. But if you needed sleep, a few hours of precious oblivion, how could I help you? I couldn’t and there is nothing I can do about it. We live in a changing times that we fear tomorrow more than yesterday. What’s to come next? Will be annihilated in our bed? Will we die from sleep paralysis? Will the ghost that had come with this book never leave you again? Is there any way ever living in peace ever again? Who can save us or the end is inevitable. WARNING: Do not read this book alone. And make sure that you are reading in a well-lighted area. The entities that are associated with this book might interact with you.

Book Description
The House with the Brick-Kiln By E. F. Benson Benson was also known as a writer of atmospheric, oblique, and at times humorous or satirical ghost stories, which were often first published in story magazines such as Pearson's Magazine or Hutchinson's Magazine, 20 of which were illustrated by Edmund Blampied. These "spook stories," as they were also called, were then reprinted in collections by his principal publisher, Walter Hutchinson. His 1906 short story, "The Bus-Conductor," a fatal-crash premonition tale about a person haunted by a hearse driver, has been adapted several times, notably in 1944 (in the film Dead of Night and as an anecdote in Bennett Cerf's Ghost Stories anthology published the same year) and in a 1961 episode of The Twilight Zone. The catchphrase from the story, "Room for one more," even spawned an urban legend, and also appears in the 1986 Oingo Boingo song, "Dead Man's Party." We are delighted to publish this classic book as part of our extensive Classic Library collection. Many of the books in our collection have been out of print for decades, and therefore have not been accessible to the general public.
