Book Description
Safeguarding the distinction between God and world has always been a basic interest of negative theology. But sometimes it has overemphasized divine transcendence in a way that made it difficult to account for the sense of God's present activity and experienced actuality. Deconstructivist criticisms of the Western metaphysics of presence have made this even more difficult to conceive. On the other hand, there has been a widespread attempt in recent years to base all theology on (religious) experience; the Christian church celebrates God's presence in its central sacraments of baptism and Eucharist; and recent process thought has re-conceptualised God's presence in panentheistic terms. This is the background against which this book outlines a theology of the Christian sense of the presence of God. The first chapter traces the rise and fall of rational religion in Modernity and argues that we should replace philosophical theism not by a unspecified religious sense of the whole but by a specific sense of the presence of God. The second chapter analyses the notion of divine presence and outlines different ways of understanding the real presence of God. The third chapter discusses the problem of whether and how God's presence can be discerned - given the fact that there is no presence of God that is not tinged by God's absence. Chapter four distinguishes various modes of divine presence with their corresponding modes of (human) apprehension. Chapter five takes up the charge that presence is an impossibility in a critical discussion of the debate between Derrida and Marion about the (im)possibility of gift. Chapter six asks how God's presence is conceived and communicated, looking in particular to music as a means of representing and communicating the awareness of God's presence. The final chapter outlines how the sense of the presence of God can be presented and defended in a world of many religions and cultures with their often conflicting religious convictions and representations.

Book Description
The concept of the uniqueness of Christianity often blocks attempts at dialogue with other religions. Traditionally, the argument goes: if Christianity is unique, then to dialogue with others somehow diminishes the weight of the claim that Jesus and the Gospel are unique. But what if uniqueness, properly defined, actually constitutes the key for understanding both Jewish and Christian traditions? Author Gabriel Moran frames his analysis of uniqueness by discussing the implications of that question. In this fluent and conversational work, Moran examines the paradox surrounding the concept of uniqueness in Christian and Jewish religious traditions. He uncovers the layers of meaning that accrue in a word that is in some sense both illogical and yet indispensable for human religious conversation. Tracing a logic of uniqueness embodied in revelation, faith, chosenness, covenant, and mediator, Moran opens a conversation between Jews and Christians that will lead readers to greater wisdom and religious depth.

Book Description
THE CHANGE IS HERE! There are two ways to live life, unconsciously (by default) or consciously as a creator (by awareness and choice). To date, a majority of humans have lived life unconsciously and thus find themselves in this state of affairs, where everything that is out of balance is crumbling. Every challenge is an opportunity waiting to be capitalized. This book is for those who have reached a point in life where their desire and curiosity to find their balance and centre in life has become an incessant question in their minds. Are you ready to face the external change and make the change within you? The 10 codes in the book are the basic foundational stepping stone to reprogramming the mind to survive and flourish at a time where humanity is in a whirlpool of external change. Humanity is at a crossroads where becoming resilient is the attribute that is to be developed to start making conscious choices from now. Practicing these 10 codes will all naturally build your immunity in the process. Making conscious decisions is the only way forward to rise. Laterally maneuvering and shifting sideways is not really an option. The only option for those who wish to survive and flourish is to internally change to sync with external change. The external change is all about co-existence, human values and following the most important fundamental universal law: “That which can harm you is also harmful to others.” This is the essence of Dharma (Our purpose) as defined in the Vedanta principles. Practicing these 10 codes will prepare you for the next phase of your personal transformation where you will be ready to “Unleash Your Hidden Potential”
