Book Description
"Why Me" is a true story of a little girl given up for adoption. Children don't have control of their destiny, in most cases an adoption is a loving and joyful one. Hers would be just the opposite. Her fate was set in motion from the day she was born. "Why Me" captures her emotions from beginning to end. She was very brave and courageous. Can you handle what you are about to read? Would you have made the same choices she did? Will you judge her for not making logical ones? It is your decision. I believe in the story of her life you will see yourself somewhere. Visiting memories from our past may be disturbing. As adults we deal with pain in such a private and personal way that others cannot comprehend it. I know all too well, that is why I wrote my story for you to read. Sit back and get ready to experience a world through her eyes in a way no one else could, then you will understand why she ask the question. "Why Me"?

Pages : 365
Book Description
A sudden death, a never-mailed postcard, and a longburied secret set the stage for a luminous and heartbreakingly real novel about lost souls finding one another The Darby-Jones boardinghouse in Ruby Falls, New York, is home to Mona Jones and her daughter, Oneida, two loners and self-declared outcasts who have formed a perfectly insular family unit: the two of them and the three eclectic boarders living in their house. But their small, quiet life is upended when Arthur Rook shows up in the middle of a nervous breakdown, devastated by the death of his wife, carrying a pink shoe box containing all his wife's mementos and keepsakes, and holding a postcard from sixteen years ago, addressed to Mona but never sent. Slowly the contents of the box begin to fit together to tell a story—one of a powerful friendship, a lost love, and a secret that, if revealed, could change everything that Mona, Oneida, and Arthur know to be true. Or maybe the stories the box tells and the truths it brings to life will teach everyone about love—how deeply it runs, how strong it makes us, and how even when all seems lost, how tightly it brings us together. With emotional accuracy and great energy, Kate Racculia's This Must Be the Place introduces memorable, charming characters that refuse to be forgotten.

Book Description
Thank you for the opportunity to read your book. I found it refreshing. Here is my review Word of Expressions on a Page is a true love story seen through the eyes of one woman. Here these are expressed in the form of poetry and short stories. I was thoroughly surprised at how completely Ms. Thompson covered the subjects she chose to address, love, marriage and life. Ironically, as a poet, I often find the views of others on these particular topics more than interesting. The style of writing in this volume is brisk. There is very little flowery wordplay. Ms. Thompson is quick and to the point with her word imagery contained within more then 150 pages to enchant you. This is refreshing to me. Two of my favorite poems are “I” and “A Mixture”. I have many others. I certainly recommend this book to anyone who wants a fresh perspective on relationships, both the good and the bad. It doesn’t get any clearer than this. LJ Thomas (Asoral Publishing) P.S. I love the candid picture of you sprinkled throughout the volume. nice touch. *Photo: by Vanessa “Vanney” Thompson*

Book Description
From a USA Today–bestselling author, an “electrifying family drama” about a woman protecting her sister, who may not be innocent, from a murder charge (Jayne Ann Krentz, New York Times–bestselling author of Sleep No More). All her life, Ryan Gracey watched her perfect older sister from afar. Knowing she could never top Wendy’s achievements, she didn’t even try. Instead Ryan forged her own path while her family barely seemed to notice. Now Wendy shares two little girls with her perfect husband, while Ryan mourns the man she lost after a nearly fatal mistake in judgment. The sisters’ choices have taken them in different directions, which is why Ryan is stunned when Wendy calls, begging for her help. There’s been a murder—and Wendy believes she’ll be wrongfully accused. While Wendy lies low, Ryan moves back to their hometown to care for the nieces she hardly knows. Using the sleuthing skills she developed as a true crime podcaster, Ryan digs for answers with the help of an unexpected ally. Yet the trail of clues Wendy’s left behind leads to nothing but questions. Blood may be thicker than water, but what does Ryan owe a sister who becomes more and more a stranger with every revelation? “In A Family of Strangers, Emilie seamlessly mixes intrigue, romance and emotional drama as she puts family ties to the test with a protagonist you won’t soon forget. A page-turner to the end!” —Diane Chamberlain, New York Times–bestselling author of The Dream Daughter “Richards deftly shifts from women’s fiction into domestic suspense, but she doesn’t sacrifice the emotional acuity that her fans expect. Readers of relationship-focused domestic-suspense authors such as Lisa Jewell will enjoy Richards’ pivot into the genre.” —Booklist
