This report has been compiled to update the General Investigations of Tidal Inlets Report 4 to the present decade. Emphasis is placed on coastal processes at tidal inlets. The inlet back-bay regions have been viewed as interrelated systems which are dynamically dependent upon each other. Therefore, a perturbation of any part of the system will partially dictate the response of the remaining part. (Author).
