Charles Wilbert Arkills was born in New York in 1841. His family gradually moved west into Wisconsin and later Iowa where he married Caroline Wise and they were the parents of eleven children. Prior to his marriage he served in the Civil War. Later the family lived in Minnesota before moving to Washington state. Information on their ancestors as well as their siblings and descendants is given in this volume. Descendants now live in Minnesota, Washington, Florida, Oregon and elsewhere.
