The Genesis is such a special collection because from the moment that our Poet penned his first poem, Realization, Mekael came to understand what his lifes purpose and gift was. His purpose, to help save and change the lives of todays youth, by use of his gift as a writer. When asked to summarize his collection, Mekael stated strongly, "My mission is to affect the rate of illiteracy in our country and in order to do that, we must affect change in our children, bolstering in them a love for reading, which will positively affect their ability to write.
