Plusieurs travaux ont montré les difficultés de maintien dans l'emploi des personnes atteintes de pathologies cancéreuses. pourtant, la reprise du travail est un élément important dans la qualité de vie des patients. En effet, elle ne représente pas seulement une source de revenus, elle signifie également une réintegration sociale, un retour a une vie "normale" et une "victoire sur la maladie". Afin d'accompagner les patients dans leur retour a l'emploi, une consultation pilote d'aide à la reprise du travail après cancer a été mise en place dans le centre de consultations de pathologies professionnelles du CHU de Rouen debut 2006. La prise en charge est multidisciplinaire associant un médecin du travail, un psychologue et une assistante sociale. L'objectif de ce travail était de faire un bilan de cette consultation. L'ensemble des dossiers médicaux a donc été analysé et les patients ont été recontactés afin d'évaluer leur devenir. Au total, 70 patients ont été pris en charge. Il s'agissait principalement de femmes ayant présenté un cancer du sein (63%). Lors de la 1ère consultation, les patients etaient dans 3 types de situation : ils travaillaient mais avec difficultes (14%), ils étaient en arrêt de travail et s'interrogeaient sur les modalités de la reprise (49%), ou ils n'avaient pas d'activité et souhaitaient de l'aide pour trouver un poste de travail adapté à leur situation (37%). le taux de reprise observé a été de 57 %. les facteurs associés à une reprise du travail ont été étudies. Plusieurs tendances ont été montrées, mais la significativite est rarement atteinte du fait de l'effectif faible. Les résultats mettent en evidence l'intérêt d'une aide à la reprise du travail et soulignent quelques éléments qui nécessitent d'être ameliorés, par exemple, le travail en réseau doit êre encore intensifié

Introduction : en France, 40% des personnes atteintes d'un cancer sont en âge de travailler. Les salariés atteints de cancer éprouvent souvent de grandes difficultés à la reprise du travail. L'objectif principal de l'étude est d'identifier les facteurs ayant un impact sur la reprise du travail. Méthode : tous les patients reçus en consultation pluridisciplinaire d'aide au retour au travail entre février 2013 et juillet 2018 ont été appelé afin d'évaluer leur évolution professionnelle, les conditions de reprise, les démarches administratives réalisées et leur appréciation de la consultation. Les données médicales ont été complétées sur dossiers médicaux. Résultats : cent treize patients ont été inclus dans l'étude. Le taux d'emploi avant le diagnostic de cancer était de 96,5%, Le taux de reprise d'emploi est de 63,7%. Les catégories socio-professionnelles inférieures (CSP) ont un taux de reprise de 48,72% contre 74,65% pour les CSP supérieures. Les autres caractéristiques personnelles (âge, sexe, pathologie, traitements) ou professionnelles (taille de l'entreprise, ancienneté dans l'entreprise, bien-être au travail) n'ont pas d'impact sur la reprise du travail. La quasi-totalité des patients a bénéficié d'un aménagement de poste à la reprise. Les impacts de la maladie sur le travail sont différents en fonction du statut de travailleurs indépendant ou non. Conclusion : l'accompagnement des patients atteint d'un cancer est un réel bénéfice et peut améliorer les chances de succès de retour au travail. Cette consultation apporte une aide unique aux travailleurs indépendants qui ne bénéficient pas, à ce jour, de l'accompagnement d'un service de santé au travail.
