Book Description
Abstract: "This study has three major components, all aimed to gather information about women and their perceptions of their role as educational leader. The first element encompassed a review of the literature about women and leadership to identify factors which may inhibit women who consider promotion as part of their career development. The second element involved a situational leadership analysis to determine women principals' perceptions of their leadership style. Their perceptions were then compared with the perceptions of their subordinates, associates and supervisors. The third element comprised a questionnaire which sought responses from women educational leaders to see the extent to which their career and their work as a principal reflected findings of research about women and leadership. "
