The information contained in this publication is taken from all available sources and principally from British. Admiralty publica tion, Africa Pilot, Part III. It cancels all supplements, addenda, etc., and includes all Notices to Mariners up to and including No. 16 of 1916. The bearings and courses are true, in degrees from 0° (north) to 360° (clockwise). Bearings limiting the sectors of lights are toward the light. The directions of winds refer to the points from which they blow; of currents, the points toward which they set. These directions are true. Variations for the year, with the annual rate of change, may be obtained from H. 0. Chart No. 2406, Variation of the Compass.
