Book Description
"Molecular Sieves - Science and Technology" covers, in a comprehensive manner, the science and technology of zeolites and all related microporous and mesoporous materials. The contributions are grouped together topically in such a way that each volume deals with a specific sub-field. Volume 7 treats fundamentals and analyses of adsorption and diffusion in zeolites including single-file diffusion. Various methods of measuring adsorption and diffusion are described and discussed.

Book Description
The proceedings of ZEOCAT 90 reflect the wide-ranging aspects of the rapidly expanding field of zeolite science and technology. The invited plenary lectures given by eminent zeolite scientists summarize current knowledge and address topical areas of zeolite research, including a contribution on the use of zeolites as membranes. The field of investigations described in the submitted articles in this volume covers a wide area of problems ranging from the influence of the synthesis process on the properties to questions of acidity, adsorption, diffusion, and catalysis. Of special interest are the newly developed applications of zeolites in the synthesis of fine chemicals, the use of zeolites for sensors and solid electrolytes, and the sophisticated zeolite-based separation processes.

Book Description
Summarizes and reviews both the major experimental techniques and theories that have been developed and applied in the study of diffusion in microporous solids. Covers the most important works--including those published in eastern bloc countries that have received limited coverage in the west--available on the subject today. Provides a theoretical framework, experimental methods and a comprehensive review of experimental data that illustrates the application of those methods. Additionally, it offers a summary of technological aspects of diffusion limited processes. S.I. Units as well as Torr and the atmosphere as units of pressure are used throughout.

Book Description
The microporous aluminosilicate minerals known as Zeolites are invaluable as adsorbents, molecular sieves and catalysts because they possess a porous structure that can let pass or accommodate cations such as, Ca2+, K+, Mg2+, Na+, etc. These are nevertheless loosely held and can be easily exchanged for those in an adjacent solution. Movement of other materials through Zeolites is naturally an important factor. The present compilation consists of diffusion data. These represent, as far as possible, pure diffusion, shorn of other transfer mechanisms such as permeation. Most of the results involve well-known artificially produced Zeolites, but also include information on naturally occurring Zeolites such as analcime and clinoptilolite. The 290 entries, 22 figures and 67 tables cover the period from 1961 to 2014.

Book Description
Offering a materials science point of view, the author covers the theory and practice of adsorption and diffusion applied to gases in microporous crystalline, mesoporous ordered, and micro/mesoporous amorphous materials. Examples used include microporous and mesoporous molecular sieves, amorphous silica, and alumina and active carbons, akaganeites, prussian blue analogues, metal organic frameworks and covalent organic frameworks. The use of single component adsorption, diffusion in the characterization of the adsorbent surface, pore volume, pore size distribution, and the study of the parameters characterizing single component transport processes in porous materials are detailed.
