Excerpt from A Review of the Literature of Reinforced Concrete Previous to 1904 the literature in the English language on rein forced concrete consisted of scattered articles in technical periodi cals, and of papers in the transactions of engineering and other allied societies, but during that year the growing need for a com prehensive and systematic treatise was supplied by the publication of three books within a few months of each other. Since that time there has been such a vast amount of literature on the subject that it is difficult for those interested to select the book that best suits their special requirements.
