Book Description
Receiving a death notice is a surreal experience, and I've had that bitter taste twice in my life. Never did I fathom that I'd be walking through the valley of the shadow of death once more. After all I'd endured since birth, I believed I'd already carried my fair share of suffering. So when the doctor delivered the shattering news of a life-threatening cancerous tumor, it rattled me to the core in a way I never thought I would encounter. What I have come to understand, more so now than ever before, is that prayer has always found a way to bring my troubled spirit a form of peace that I can't understand and a sense of calm and resolution even now as Jews (of Israel) and Muslims (of Palestine) continue to fight for what they believe in the Holy Land of Jerusalem. Prayer is human communication with the sacred--God, gods, the transcendent realm, or supernatural powers. But to label prayer solely as a form of communication is akin to describing a grand symphony as mere notes on a page. Prayer is a tapestry woven with threads of human history, spirituality, and the very essence of our existence. In reality, prayer is a mosaic of multidimensional practices as old as humanity. God, Forgive me. Cleanse me. Make me whole again! Amen.

Book Description
In this compilation, the editor has endeavored to select those incidents and practical remarks from Mr. Müller's Narratives, that show in an unmistakeable way, both to believers and unbelievers the secret of believing in prayer, the manifest hand of a living God and His unfailing response, in His own time and way, to every petition which is according to His will. The careful perusal of these extracts will thus further the great object which Mr. Müller had in view, without the necessity of reading through the various details of his "Narratives," details which Mr. Müller felt bound to give when writing periodically the account of God's dealings with him._x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_

Book Description
What is a saint? A saint is a holy person, someone who lived an extra-loving life on Earth and now is close to God in Heaven. The saints are close to us because they share God's great love for us. That is why we ask them for their prayers. They are our friends--friends want the best for us! Just like every person is different, every saint is also different. Each saint was an ordinary person with both strengths and weaknesses. Ordinary people become saints by using the gifts and talents God has given them to follow Jesus and to live according to the Gospel. In this book, you will read the stories of 30 saints. As you read about each saint, remember that you too are called to be a saint by following Jesus and loving God and others in your own original and unique way!

Book Description
Pete Greig, the acclaimed author of Red Moon Rising, has written his most intensely personal and honest account yet in God on Mute, a book born out of his wife Samie's fight for her life and diagnosis of a debilitating brain tumor. Greig asks the timeless questions of what it means to suffer and to pray and to suffer through the silence because your prayers seem unanswered. This silence, Greig relates, is the hardest thing. The world collapses. Then all goes quiet. Words can't explain, don't fit, won't work. People avoid you and don't know what to say. So you turn to Him and you pray. You need Him more than ever before. But somehow . . . even God Himself seems on mute. In this heart-searching, honest, and deeply profound book, Pete Greig looks at the hard side of prayer, how to respond when there seem to be no answers, and how to cope with those who seek to interpret our experience for us. Here is a story of faith, hope, and love beyond all understanding.
