Book Description
It was only supposed to be a simple arrangement—until emotions got in the way. Now lies and secrets could destroy everything. Lawson Carlisle, the ostracized black sheep of the wealthy Carlisle family is back in Magdalena. It’s been sixteen years since he left, vanishing one night amidst speculations that included jail time and detention homes. Those were serious claims against one of the wealthiest families in town, and whether those stories were true or not, they fueled many a conversation and served as a lesson to the community; no person is invincible, no matter how much money his family has. Ava Marie Ventori used to believe that doing good and following rules would gift her with the life she wanted, the man she loved, the dreams she didn’t even know she craved. But her eagerness to find that perfect life landed her with the wrong man, the wrong career path, and the wrong dreams. At thirty-three, the jobs are meaningless, the relationships nonexistent, and the dreams are gone. Her one joy is painting river rocks with inspirational messages, but she’s not about to share their existence, especially with the parents she continues to disappoint. After a chance encounter with former classmate, good-girl Ava Maire Ventori, Law offers her the use of his cabin—no strings attached—so she can work on the mystery art she obviously doesn’t want to share. But his “no strings” good intentions are no match for old-fashioned attraction... As Law and Ava spend time together, she discovers there’s so much more to the former bad-boy than a questionable past and he starts to believe that maybe Ava isn’t too good for him. In fact, maybe she’s perfect for him. When lies and old secrets threaten the couple’s happiness, will their love be strong enough to fight for a life together? While A Family Affair: The Proposal can be read as a stand-alone story, readers have fallen in love with the entire series!

Book Description
What happens when destiny ignores the rules? Gina Servetti was raised to believe she wasn’t enough—not thin enough, not pretty enough, not clever enough. She’s more comfortable with a spreadsheet than a conversation and doesn’t trust easily, especially where men are concerned, most notably the good-looking, smooth-talking ones like Ben Reed. When city boy Ben Reed arrives in Magdalena, he’s not planning a long-term stay in a town filled with too many busybodies and too little excitement. He just needs things to settle down in Philly for a few months before he returns to his old life and his plan to win back his ex-wife. But once he gets to know the people in this town, he starts to care about them: one in particular—Gina Servetti. The longer he’s around her, the more he realizes she’s so much more than a woman with a scowl and a sharp tongue. She’s real and honest, and as afraid of trusting as he is. Book Description
Kathy Garver, the teenage heartthrob from the hit series Family Affair (1966–1971), was no one-hit wonder, but a journeywoman actress who appeared in such classic films as Night of the Hunter and The Ten Commandments long before she became a television icon. This memoir is a recollection of a working actress’s experiences, from the many films, television shows, and stage plays in which she performed, to her second career as a voice-over specialist in popular animated films and audiobooks. Featuring anecdotes, Hollywood history, and details of her relationships with such stars as Charlton Heston and Jon Provost, Surviving Cissy is a veritable quilt of Kathy’s exciting life.

Book Description
This early work by Guy de Maupassant was originally published in the 1880's. Guy de Maupassant was born in 1850 at the Château de Miromesnil, near Dieppe, France. He came from a prosperous family, but when Maupassant was eleven, his mother risked social disgrace by trying to secure a legal separation from her husband. After the split, Maupassant lived with his mother till he was thirteen, and inherited her love of classical literature. In 1880, Maupassant published his first - and, according to many, his best - short story, entitled 'Boule de Suif' ('Ball of Fat'). It was an instant success. He went on to be extremely prolific during the 1880s, working methodically to produce up to four volumes of short fiction every year. Many of the earliest books, particularly those dating back to the 1900's and before, are now extremely scarce and increasingly expensive. We are republishing these classic works in affordable, high quality, modern editions.

WINNER! 2015 INTERNATIONAL GOLD MEDAL FOR TRUE CRIME! CAN EVIL BE INHERITED? FOLLOW ONE FAMILY WHO BELIEVES IT'S POSSIBLE! Some stories just have to be told and so it is with the Tuxhorn family. Murder Is A Family Affair follows August Tuxhorn to America in the mid 1850s where Charles was born in Illinois. The boy grew up with a beautiful face and a stone heart. Evil set in motion by his grandfather and then his father, Charles carries on the family's violent temper and disregard for human life. Did he inherit these traits shared by others? More important, did he pass them on? Follow their lives and watch the carnage they leave behind. Many lives were lost or destroyed in their wake. After particularly gruesome murders, Charles Tuxhorn disappeared into thin air. How? Pinkerton looked for him around the world, but couldn't find him. Where did he go? Is this the last of the evil? OR IS IT THE BEGINNING?
