Book Description
The author of this book was interested in learning the four major religions of the world—Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism. As a result of five years of intensive study of all the holy books, he came up with three books with the following titles: 1000 Similarities and 100 Differences between the Holy Bible and Holy Quran This will reveal the major doctrinal sameness and differences between these two religions. 700 Amazing Similarities and Differences between Bhagavad-Gita and Bible This will explain the verses of the Hindu holy book, comparing it with the Holy Bible. Word of Truth of Dhammapada and Way of Truth through Bible This book explains the 423 verses of Buddhist holy book, comparing them with that of the Holy Bible. These books were written in a simpler manner without making any changes on the original wordings for the people to easily read, understand, and explore. These books will eliminate the doubts, question, and false assumptions among these religions so that each reader will gain a sound understanding of the teachings of these four major religions of the world. Among these four religions, in my view, Christianity and Islam appear to be very close to each other. Surprisingly, the name of Jesus is mentioned in the book of Quran at least seventy-seven times. Hence, the author wants to separate this significant finding to explain further to those readers who are interested to know what the Quran reveals about the Christian prophet, Jesus. 77 Truths about Jesus Revealed in Quran! They are very interesting to read, understand, and to teach others with authenticity. These four books are very valuable tools for pastors, religious teachers, professors of religious studies, priests, Sunday schoolers, group sessions, and missionary workers. They will gain ample knowledge about the religions of those people with whom they are working with.

The Crucifixion and the Qur'an
Author: Todd Lawson
Publisher: Simon and Schuster
ISBN: 178074675X
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 135
Book Description
The first book to examine the controversial Qur'anic phrase which divides Christianity and Islam. According to the majority of modern Muslims and Christians, the Qur'an denies the crucifixion of Jesus, and with it, one of the most sacred beliefs of Christianity. However, it is only mentioned in one verse - 'They did not kill him and they did not crucify him, rather, it only appeared so to them' - and contrary to popular belief, its translation has been the subject of fierce debate among Muslims for centuries. This innovative work is the first book devoted to the issue, delving deeply into largely ignored Arabic sources, which suggest that the origins of the conventional translation may lie within the Christian Church. Arranged along historical lines, and covering various Muslim schools of thought, from Sunni to Sufi, "The Crucifixion and the Qur'an" unravels the crucial dispute that separates the World's two principal faiths.

Understanding Islam and Christianity
Author: Josh McDowell
Publisher: Harvest House Publishers
ISBN: 0736949917
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 274
Book Description
For years, international apologist Josh McDowell has been alert to the challenge of Islam—and how Muslims’ objections to Christianity can raise deep doubts in believers’ minds. His recent on-the-ground research with Muslims in the Middle East has crystallized into this practical resource focusing on Jesus and the gospel. Aided by Islam expert Jim Walker, McDowell lays out the evidence on the crucial issues: What kind of prophet was Jesus? Was he the Messiah? “Son of God”? “Son of Man”? What’s that about? How are God and Jesus related? Can they both be God? The gospel—how could God dishonor his Son by letting him die horribly? What good did his death do? Aren’t the Bible’s accounts of Jesus corrupt? With all this, as well as backgrounder appendixes on the basics, believers will have authoritative evidence from Scripture and history to intelligently deal with Muslims’ questions about and challenges to Christianity.

The Resurrection of Jesus
Author: Dale C. Allison, Jr.
Publisher: Bloomsbury Publishing
ISBN: 0567697584
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 696
Book Description
The earliest traditions around the narrative of Jesus' resurrection are considered in this landmark work by Dale C. Allison, Jr, drawing together the fruits of his decades of research into this issue at the very core of Christian identity. Allison returns to the ancient sources and earliest traditions, charting them alongside the development of faith in the resurrection in the early church and throughout Christian history. Beginning with historical-critical methodology that examines the empty tomb narratives and early confessions, Allison moves on to consider the resurrection in parallel with other traditions and stories, including Tibetan accounts of saintly figures being assumed into the light, in the chapter “Rainbow Body”. Finally, Allison considers what might be said by way of results or conclusions on the topic of resurrection, offering perspectives from both apologetic and sceptical viewpoints. In his final section of “modest results” he considers scholarly approaches to the resurrection in light of human experience, adding fresh nuance to a debate that has often been characterised in overly simplistic terms of “it happened” or “it didn't”.
