Book Description
This book offers a sincere look at the Supported Housing sector through the eyes of a former drug and alcohol addict, and prisoner, turned front line worker: Zayne is gripping the rail of a balcony on the 24th floor of the Pegasus hotel. His thoughts take him to his efforts of supporting vulnerable adults and the impact that Austerity has on these vulnerable people, and front line workers, in this sector of our society. He gives a hands on theoretical introduction of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Motivational Interviewing techniques to staff and puts theory into practice, working with real caseloads such as; Zachariah, an apparent racist and one time ‘angriest person in Britain,’ who finds his understanding of confrontation an excuse for excess violence, and TJ, with the vacant look of depression; despair in his eyes, unable to utter his own name, and suffers panic attacks to the point of chronic agoraphobia. A fascinatingly true story, entwined with parables and tales of his turbulent past; this book also offers Brief Intervention for drug and alcohol addiction, and an introduction, with easy to follow instructions to Mindfulness Meditation which is becoming increasingly popular in the western hemisphere as a stress reduction tool.

Book Description
New York Times bestselling author and social media expert Gary Vaynerchuk shares hard-won advice on how to connect with customers and beat the competition. A mash-up of the best elements of Crush It! and The Thank You Economy with a fresh spin, Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook is a blueprint to social media marketing strategies that really works. When managers and marketers outline their social media strategies, they plan for the “right hook”—their next sale or campaign that’s going to knock out the competition. Even companies committed to jabbing—patiently engaging with customers to build the relationships crucial to successful social media campaigns—want to land the punch that will take down their opponent or their customer’s resistance in one blow. Right hooks convert traffic to sales and easily show results. Except when they don’t. Thanks to massive change and proliferation in social media platforms, the winning combination of jabs and right hooks is different now. Vaynerchuk shows that while communication is still key, context matters more than ever. It’s not just about developing high-quality content, but developing high-quality content perfectly adapted to specific social media platforms and mobile devices—content tailor-made for Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, and Tumblr.

Book Description
After having spent over three decades in education and public service agencies, I am attempting to connect the dots in regard to education programs and practices and student achievement. Given the plethora of educational programs, practices, and studies reviewed and studied and implemented regarding educational reform and student achievements and initiatives currently in vogue in American education such as “No Child Left Behind” and “Race to the Top” have not advanced us to the point we hope to be. The main thrust or the common denominator in successful educational practices, in my opinion, is the relationship between students and teachers .I had the pleasure of working with two individuals in the educational field that exemplify the premise that no child rises to low expectations and, in their love of children and passion for learning, have transformed lives. This book attempts to put the current issues into a realistic perspective as the obstacles that are prevalent in education and also suggest some of the bright spots that are currently in practice. Book Description
Theory of Stochastic Canonical Equations collects the major results of thirty years of the author's work in the creation of the theory of stochastic canonical equations. It is the first book to completely explore this theory and to provide the necessary tools for dealing with these equations. Included are limit phenomena of sequences of random matrices and the asymptotic properties of the eigenvalues of such matrices. The book is especially interesting since it gives readers a chance to study proofs written by the mathematician who discovered them. All fifty-nine canonical equations are derived and explored along with their applications in such diverse fields as probability and statistics, economics and finance, statistical physics, quantum mechanics, control theory, cryptography, and communications networks. Some of these equations were first published in Russian in 1988 in the book Spectral Theory of Random Matrices, published by Nauka Science, Moscow. An understanding of the structure of random eigenvalues and eigenvectors is central to random matrices and their applications. Random matrix analysis uses a broad spectrum of other parts of mathematics, linear algebra, geometry, analysis, statistical physics, combinatories, and so forth. In return, random matrix theory is one of the chief tools of modern statistics, to the extent that at times the interface between matrix analysis and statistics is notably blurred. Volume I of Theory of Stochastic Canonical Equations discusses the key canonical equations in advanced random matrix analysis. Volume II turns its attention to a broad discussion of some concrete examples of matrices. It contains in-depth discussion of modern, highly-specialized topics in matrix analysis, such as unitary random matrices and Jacoby random matrices. The book is intended for a variety of readers: students, engineers, statisticians, economists and others.
