Now thousands of people around the world are living healthy, active lives on the Overcoming Multiple Sclerosis recovery program. Overcoming Multiple Sclerosis explains the nature of MS and outlines an evidence-based 7 step program for recovery. Professor George Jelinek devised the program from an exhaustive analysis of medical research when he was first diagnosed with MS in 1999. It has been refined through major ongoing international clinical studies under Professor Jelinek's leadership, examining the lifestyles of several thousand people with MS world-wide and their health outcomes. Overcoming Multiple Sclerosis is invaluable for anyone recently diagnosed with MS, living with MS for years, or with a family member with MS. Book Description
Me, Myself and MS is a true-to-life, heartwarming, and inspirational memoir that deals with what I went through and go through on a day-to-day, more specifically, a minute-to-minute basis in the battle of living with multiple sclerosis. This book will give a detailed description of my life from the moment of diagnoses to the many symptoms, medications, treatments, and some of the possible side effects. It is also a portrayal of the tears, laughter, triumphs, and tribulations that are a part of living with multiple sclerosis. Me, Myself and MS is not only targeted for people living with multiple sclerosis, but it is also for anyone dealing with life's challenges and who are in need of a little inspiration. It makes a statement that the choice is yours. You can submit to your illness and hardships, or you can see these challenges as a new chapter in your life and move forward fighting tooth and nail with each new blow that is thrown you way. With two hundred people diagnosed weekly with multiple sclerosis, this inspirational book will help ease some of the fears about what you might go through. It is meant to encourage and guide those that are going through this journey or any challenges in their lives. In my family, there are four of us living with multiple sclerosis, and I was the first to be diagnosed. There was no one that I could turn to for advice as to what to expect. I hadn't even heard the words multiple sclerosis or what this illness was, so I wanted to pass along that although you have been given a new life/way of living, you can/will survive your diagnoses. This is a journey--one that I have been on for twenty-three years and counting.

Book Description
John C. Poirier examines the “theopneustic” nature of the Scripture, as a response to the view that “inspiration” lies at the heart of most contemporary Christian theology. In contrast to the traditional rendering of the Greek word theopneustos as “God-inspired” in 2 Tim 3:16, Poirier argues that a close look at first- and second-century uses of theopneustos reveals that the traditional inspirationist understanding of the term did not arise until the time of Origen in the early third century CE, and that in every pre-Origen use of theopneustos the word instead means “life-giving.” Poirier thus conducts a detailed investigation of theopneustos as it appears in the fifth Sibylline Oracle, the Testament of Abraham, Vettius Valens, Pseudo-Plutarch (Placita Philosophorum), and Pseudo-Phocylides, all of whom understand the word to mean “life-giving.” He also studies the use of the cognate term theopnous in Numenius, the Corpus Hermeticum, on an inscription at the Great Sphinx of Giza, and on an inscription at a nymphaeum at Laodicea on the Lycus. Poirier argues that a rendering of “life-giving” also fits better within the context of 2 Tim 3:16, and that this meaning survived late enough to figure in a fifth-century work by Nonnus of Panopolis. He further traces the pre-Origen use of theopneustos among the Church Fathers. Poirier concludes by addressing the implication of rethinking the traditional understanding of Scripture, stressing that the lack of “God-inspired” scripture ultimately does not affect the truth status of the gospel as preached by the apostles.
