Book Description
"The impacts will set off a chain of explosions which will be so powerful that at least five floors from the base of One World Trade Center will be completely obliterated in a flash. The Dante-esque inferno will shoot up through the elevator shafts and the air vents and envelope the entire building, trapping everyone inside. The base of One World Trade Center will be engulfed in a conflagration and the combination of that intense heat with the strength of the blast will weaken the metal base, then the massive weight of the upper steel structure will implode catastrophically. Nothing will survive..."

When a poor Christian boy falls in love with a rich Muslim girl, is it a classic recipe for heartache or has society accepted the truth that love is universal? The Abyss of Bliss graphically chronicles the poignant tale of these innocent souls in their quest for true love and brings to life the brutal reality of their stoic redemption in a world still wallowing in religious bigotry, condemnation and persecution...

Book Description
Taking up the work of Meister Eckhart, F. W. J. von Schelling, and Soren Kierkegaard, Political Theology of Life formulates the task of an unconditional affirmation of life. Such a political theology consists of constructing a kenotic eschatology, which puts into question any political attempt to justify and legitimize any world-historical hegemony on a theological foundation. The work thereby argues that in today's neoliberal-secular world of narcissistic mass-consumption in the age of extreme capitalism, such an affirmation of life--released from the grasp of sovereign power--is the highest ethico-religious task of our time. The work shows that each of these thinkers--Meister Eckhart at the epochal closure of the medieval world, and Schelling and Kierkegaard from the heart of the epochal condition of modernity--has exposed open a dimension of infinitude and manifestation that can be truly inspiring for us; that is to say, in the abandonment of all worldly attributes lies a receptivity to the highest gift of beatitude, an opening to the infinitude that sanctifies our worldly existence, which is a radical gift arriving from an origin without origin and without foundation, a gift that does not have to be anchored in the nomothetic operation of worldly hegemonies. Book Description
MacDonald rejected the doctrine of penal Substitutionary atonement as put forward by John Calvin which argues that Christ has taken the place of sinners and is punished by God in their place, believing that in turn it raised serious questions about the character and nature of God. Instead, he taught that Christ had come to save people from their sins, and not from a Divine penalty for their sins. The problem was not the need to appease a wrathful God but the disease of cosmic evil itself.

Book Description
Exploring the unity of the practice of prayer and the practice of theology, this book draws together insights from world-class theologians including Rowan Williams, Andrew Louth, Frances Young, Margaret R. Miles, Sebastian Brock, and Nicholaï Sakharov. Offering glimpses of the prayer-life and witness that undergirds theological endeavour, some authors approach the topic in a deeply personal way while others express the unity of prayer and the theologian in a traditionally scholarly manner. No matter what the denomination of the Christian theologian - Greek or Russian Orthodox, Roman Catholic, Anglican, Methodist - authors demonstrate that the discipline of theology cannot properly be practiced apart from the prayer life of the theologian. The prayer of the theologian shapes her or his approach to theology. Whether it be preaching, teaching, writing or research, the deep soundings of prayer inform and embrace all.
