Book Description
Orion dominates the winter sky, flanked by Taurus the Bull on one side and Canis the Great Dog on the other-three key constellations for the Hopi and prehistoric Pueblo People of the American Southwest. When these stars appear in the entryway of the kiva roof, they synchronize the sacred rituals being performed below. Here we see how a complex ceremonial cycle mirrors the turning of the heavens. Stargates, UFOs, Indian Mothman, natural psychedelics, cannibal giants, psychic archaeology, earth chakra lines, and the Hopi-Egyptian connection-this book is packed with fascinating and little-known facts about one of the most mysterious and secretive tribes on the North American continent. You will come away with a deep appreciation of the way the Ancient Ones viewed the world above. Chapters include: What is a Kiva?; Stargates in Antiquity; New Mexico’s Orion Kivas; Colorado’s Orion Temple; Hopi Flying Saucers; Arizona’s Psychic Archaeology; Hopi Kachinas and Egyptian Stars; 2012 Supernova?; Book of Revelation and 2012; Indian Mothman and Sacred Datura; Tales of Giants and Cannibals; Chaco Canyon: Mirror of Sirius; Dog Stars in the Land of Enchantment; The Chaco-Chakra Meridian; Seven Spiritual Cities of Gold; Orion’s Global Legacy; more.

Book Description
Chaco Canyon and Mesa Verde are arguably the two best-known archaeological areas in the American Southwest. Yet despite more than a century of archaeological research, many questions remain unanswered. From more than fifty years of research, archaeologist Jonathan E. Reyman has uncovered a wealth of materials from the work of George Pepper and Richard Wetherill, mostly from the 1896–1901 Hyde Exploring Expedition at Chaco Canyon but also from later field and collections research at more than twenty institutions in the United States. Previously unpublished Pepper-Wetherill field notes, photographs, and drawings combined with newly commissioned drawings offer a significant revision to what we know about the Chacoan world. Reyman’s research has produced a unique book that compares the published record with the unpublished record to provide new information and insight into the archaeological culture and history of Chaco, the findings of the HEE and other pre-1950 archaeological projects, various Chaco field schools, and much more. Pueblo Bonito and Chaco Canyon Revisited offers a blueprint for future research among existing archaeological collections.

Book Description
In this new volume, the results of Rex E. Gerald’s 1957 excavations at the Davis Ranch Site in southeastern Arizona’s San Pedro River Valley are reported in their entirety for the first time. Annotations to Gerald’s original manuscript in the archives of the Amerind Museum and newly written material place Gerald’s work in the context of what is currently known regarding the late thirteenth-century Kayenta diaspora and the relationship between Kayenta immigrants and the Salado phenomenon. Data presented by Gerald and other contributors identify the site as having been inhabited by people from the Kayenta region of northeastern Arizona and southeastern Utah. The results of Gerald’s excavations and Archaeology Southwest’s San Pedro Preservation Project (1990–2001) indicate that the people of the Davis Ranch Site were part of a network of dispersed immigrant enclaves responsible for the origin and spread of Roosevelt Red Ware pottery, the key material marker of the Salado phenomenon. A companion volume to Charles Di Peso’s 1958 publication on the nearby Reeve Ruin, archaeologists working in the U.S. Southwest and other researchers interested in ancient population movements and their consequences will consider this work an essential case study.

Book Description
When an archaeology student excavates the final layer of debris filling an ancient pueblo room, she dramatically and unexpectedly exposes a sacred kiva lying below. The sinister events that follow, including a murder, hurl the young Graciella into a vortex of dangers from both past and present. With the help of an Apache detective investigating the murder, she attempts to escape from haunting forces that seek to destroy her, while treading a serpentine path that crosses the line between myth and reality. This tale of a prehistoric pueblo and its living descendents confronts one of humankind’s most ancient questions: can the past reach into the present and can the present influence what happened long ago?
