Book Description
This fascinating book is filled with humor, history, hair-raising suspense and intrigue, political harassment, and efforts on the part of both God and His angels and His earthly creatures, humanity, to be a blessing to each one's fellows and an honor to the Church on earth and the Church in heaven. All of the individuals dealt with were either heart-convicted, healed of the blight of sinfulness and headed for heavenly bliss eternally with the saints terrestrial and the holy ones (angels) celestial, or destined for an eternity in the lake of fire and brimstone, the second death. Both groups combined comprise a significant representation of the outstanding characters of the Bible, the good and the evil. Both camps testify consistently to the genuineness and realism of the angels, from Genesis through Revelation. Both groups confirm the significant influences of the heavenly messengers, the angels, from eternity before creation to eternity beyond the end of earthly time. The Holy Bible tells its story of God's holy heavenly messengers, the angels, from sea to shining sea and from earthly shore to eternal shore. Blessed be the one that reads, and they that hath ears, let them hear appreciatively what the Bible says about the heavenly messengers, the angels. An earlier book was produced in 2008, entitled Dr. David Caldwell: An 18th Century Flame for Christ. It tells some of the background story of the American Religious Restoration Movement, 1730-1860, emphasizing the significant little-known influences of Dr. David Caldwell on restoration leader Barton W. Stone. "The book can be used valuably as a supplement for courses on the Stone-Campbell Restoration Movement. Its greatest strength is the author's impressive use of many period sources from scattered locations." -James S. O'Brian, review of Dr. David Caldwell: An 18th Century Flame for Christ, by Finis Jay Caldwell, Stone-Campbell Journal 14, no. 1 (Spring 2011): 89-90. Finis Jay Caldwell Jr. was born in 1936 in southeast Missouri, reared in genuine North Carolinian tradition and culture, and educated through Harding University at Searcy, Arkansas. He has been married to his college sweetheart, Marilyn Lee Beal, since 1957. The Caldwells have been blessed with six children. Now semi-retired in Kennett, Missouri, the Caldwells ministered for churches in Arkansas, Missouri, New Mexico, Texas and Tennessee. They also did mission work in Canada, New Zealand, and Albania. Mr. Caldwell has made five trips to the Holy Land as well as travels in many of the nations surrounding the Mediterranean. One summer was spent doing archaeological work as part of his studies at the Hebrew Union College in Jerusalem. Finis Jay Caldwell Jr. has earned a bachelor's degree, an MRE degree, an MA degree, and an MTH degree; he also accumulated some fifty hours toward a doctoral degree while at Baylor University (1968) and several other schools.

Book Description
A recent study found that 57 percent of Catholics, 66 percent of Evangelical Protestants, and 10 percent of Jews have reported having a personal experience with a guardian angel. And 20 percent of those who identified themselves as having no religion also claimed having encountered an angel. Seeing Angels is one of the most in depth examinations of angelic ministry by one of the cutting-edge charismatic leaders in the church today. Joshua Mills goes beyond the usual takes on angels regarding spiritual warfare and explores who they are, how to recognize them, and what they do. Part I, Understanding Your Angels, is all about understanding who angels are, exploring why they are necessary and how different angels minister comfort, healing, love, prosperity. It reveals who they carry out specific geographic assignments for cities and nations, as well as the more unique and extraordinary assignments they receive. Part II, Discerning Your Angels, explains how to become more aware of the unseen heavenly realm, as well as how to recognize divine intervention when it does reveal itself to human sight. Such manifestations include random strangers, visions, or signs and messengers that believers receive. Joshua also explains the way he has interacted with visions of radiant light, swirling colors, and what he describes as atmospheric shifts. All of this is intended to make believers become more aware of both invisible and revealed spiritual realities. Part III, Working with Your Angels, deals specifically with how to minister alongside these heavenly messengers as they stand watch, provide protection, and administer strength and comfort. This includes recognizing their movements and how to effectively pray for angelic encounters to take place. With a foreword by Patricia King, Seeing Angels is among the most comprehensive teachings on recognizing angelic beings and understanding how to partner with them in ministry.

Perhaps it’s because in order to encounter one, we first have to learn what to look for and how to look! We live in a world where the natural and supernatural overlap. Angels are constantly on mission from God and constantly at work in this world. From the Garden of Eden to the Book of Revelation, Scripture is filled with hundreds of references to these wondrous creatures. In this creative work, Scot McKnight explores what the Bible says – and doesn’t say – about these majestic beings. And that’s deeply important because angels are still on mission today. They express God’s love, confirm His presence, and even lead humans in redemptive worship. Don’t just believe in angels. Now available in a convenient paperback edition, The Hum of Angels illuminates what the Bible says about these heavenly beings; and it helps you to understand the deepest truths about one of God’s most magnificent and yet misunderstood creations. Most People Believe in Angels. It’s What we Believe About them that Matters. Believing in angels is one thing. But how can we know what angels are really like – especially when our preconceived notions have been mostly shape by sensationalized misinterpretations of these wondrous beings? To help sort things out, Scot McKnight untangles fact from fiction on topics such as: * Do loved ones become angels when they die? * Can we hear from angels? * Is there a hierarchy of angels? * Do we have a specific guardian angel? * Should we be scared of angels? * Are cherubs and seraphs different creatures than angels? * Do angels have wings? * Are angels worship leaders?

Book Description
This book presents a study of angels as they are depicted in the pages of the Bible. What are angels? How does God use them? Are they still working in this world? These and similar questions are addressed in this study. God has used angels throughout recorded history and He still uses them today. Many people, however, do not believe angels exist - any more than they believe that heaven and hell are real places, or that God and the devil truly exist. Many examples of the work of angels are presented throughout both the Old and New Testaments. In this study, we consider details of those accounts. What is the goal of this study? . . . for everyone to fully appreciate the capabilities, characteristics, and functions of this class of higher beings known as angels.
