Book Description
This essay sheds light on what is Generation Z, explicates how Generation Z can change the world, identifies the benefits of being part of Generation Z, and expounds upon why Generation Z has the latent potential to become the wealthiest generation of people in the 21st century. Generation Z is a term that is utilized to describe the generation of people who were born between the years 1997 and 2012. As of October of 2021, the people of Generation Z primarily consist of young adults and teenagers. The vast majority of the people of Generation Z were born amid the 21st century. Generation Z is the first-generation to grow up with social media platforms, video hosting platforms, live streaming platforms, crowdfunding platforms, smartphones, smartphone applications, and high-speed broadband internet connections. Generation Z has also grown up in an era in which artificial intelligence-powered robots and advanced algorithms have become all the more prevalent around the world. Generation Z has also grown up in an era in which they can indulge in the remote shopping experience at anytime. The remote shopping experience is replete with conveniences, such as being able to shop for products without having to wait in line to do so and being able to shop for products without having to travel to a distant retail store to do so. Furthermore, Generation Z has also grown up in an era in which they are not limited to shopping for products amid standard business hours since e-commerce websites are accessible to customers 24/7 except when they are undergoing website maintenance. Moreover, Generation Z has also grown up in an era in which they can also shop remotely in the virtual fantasy worlds of video games via the in-game stores of videos games. The in-game stores of videos games often have a massive selection of digital items that customers can purchase in the virtual fantasy worlds of video games. Generation Z has also grown up in an era in which they can access movie streaming services and video game streaming services at anytime remotely with extreme ease. Being able to access movie streaming services and video game streaming services at anytime remotely with extreme ease renders it all the more of a seamless process for the people of Generation Z to summarily access entertaining movies and summarily access enthralling video games. Generation Z has also grown up in an era in which they can pursue college degree programs remotely and pursue university degree programs remotely. Being able to pursue college degree programs remotely and pursue university degree programs renders it less cumbersome for people to attain educational credentials. Generation Z has also grown up in an era in which they can work remotely. Being able to work remotely renders it less arduous for the people who work real private sector jobs based on voluntary demand to earn revenue. Generation Z has also grown up in an era in which they can access social media platforms remotely and access the internet remotely via their smartphones without needing to be metaphorically tethered to their computers to do so. Since their childhood experiences are a stark far cry from the childhood experiences of the people from the previous generations that preceded Generation Z, Generation Z cannot even infinitesimally relate to the childhood experiences that the people from the previous generations that preceded Generation Z succumbed to experiencing. Generation Z grew up with advanced technologies that the previous generation that preceded Generation Z, the Millennial generation, would have ineffably loved to have accessed to at a young age. The ample advanced technologies that Generation Z grew up with rendered it possible for their lives to be replete with conveniences. Generation Z is also the first-generation to grow up with having access to an almost endless amount of entertainment at their fingertips since the social media platforms that have emerged during the 21st century are incessantly expanding their user-generated content libraries. The totality of user-generated content on social media platforms is so sizeable that people cannot even watch .0001% percent of the totality of user-generated content on social media platforms in their lifetimes. If a person from Generation Z were to watch 16 hours of user-generated content on social media platforms everyday, he would then not even be able to watch .0001% of the totality of user-generated content on social media platforms amid the duration of his lifetime.

Generation Alpha is a term that is utilized to describe the generation of people who were born between the years 2013 and 2027. As of November of 2023, the people of Generation Alpha primarily consist of children. All of the people of Generation Alpha were born amid the 21st century. Generation Alpha is not only the first generation of people to all have been born during the 21st century, but is also the first generation of people to succeed Generation Z. Generation Z is a term that is utilized to delineate the generation of people who were born between the years 1997 and 2012. Generation Alpha is the second generation to grow up with social media platforms, video hosting platforms, live streaming platforms, crowdfunding platforms, smartphones, smartphone applications, and high-speed broadband internet connections. Generation Alpha has also grown up in an era in which artificial intelligence-powered robots and advanced algorithms have become all the more prevalent around the world. Generation Alpha has also grown up in an era in which advanced smart technologies have become all the more ubiquitous around the world. For instance, Generation Alpha has also grown up in an era in which customers can utilize artificial intelligence-powered smart shopping carts to be able to purchase items at grocery stores. Utilizing artificial intelligence-powered smart shopping carts at grocery stores renders it possible for customers to purchase items at grocery stores without needing to wait in line to be able to do so. Generation Alpha has also grown up in an era in which customers can utilize artificial intelligence-powered smart kiosks to be able to expeditiously order meals at restaurants. Utilizing artificial intelligence-powered smart kiosks to expeditiously order meals at restaurants can also ease the process of ordering meals at restaurants if it culminates in customers no longer needing to interact with the personnel of restaurants for them to be able to order meals at restaurants. Generation Alpha has also grown up in an era in which customers can confabulate with advanced artificial intelligence-powered chatbots for the prospect of being furnished with product recommendations that are tailored to their preferences. Being furnished with product recommendations that are derived from advanced artificial intelligence-powered chatbots and that are tailored to their preferences can help customers to more expeditiously undergo certain stages in the customer buying process amid their shopping sessions. It can be deduced that the technological developments of the 21st century have helped companies to significantly ease the shopping experience for customers. This is because the technological developments of the 21st century have helped companies to significantly winnow down the amount of friction points that customers can encounter when they undergo the customer buying process amid their shopping sessions. Generation Alpha has also grown up in an era in which they have access to ample modes of shopping. Generation Alpha is able to purchase products via e-commerce websites, mobile applications, and brick-and-mortar retail stores. Generation Alpha has also grown up in an era in which service offerings can be furnished to customers by robotic technologies. It can be deduced that the utilization of robotic technologies in the furnishing of service offerings to customers is conducive to helping companies to streamline the process of furnishing service offerings to customers. Generation Alpha has also grown up in an era in which customers can procure drone delivery services in order to receive the products that they purchased from companies. Autonomous delivery drones of companies that offer drone delivery services are capable of expeditiously delivering products to customers that they purchased from companies.

Generation Z
Author: Corey Seemiller
Publisher: Routledge
ISBN: 0429809182
Category : Business & Economics
Languages : en
Pages : 334
Book Description
No other generation in history has received as much coverage as the Millennial generation. Books, Google searches, blogs, and news articles are everywhere about them. Yet, Generation Z is comprised of our youth and young adults today and has received very little attention comparatively. Those in Generation Z are among our youngest consumers, students, colleagues, constituents, voters, and neighbors. Being able to better understand who they are and how they see the world can be helpful in effectively working with, teaching, supervising, and leading them. Generation Z: A Century in the Making offers insight into nearly every aspect of the lives of those in Generation Z, including a focus on their career aspirations, religious beliefs and practices, entertainment and hobbies, social concerns, relationships with friends and family, health and wellness, money management, civic engagement, communication styles, political ideologies, technology use, and educational preferences. Drawing from an unprecedented number of studies with higher education research institutions, market research firms such as Pew and Census, other generational researchers and industry leaders, this is the authoritative defining work on Generation Z that market researchers, consumer behaviour specialists, and employers sorely need – and it is a fascinating read for anyone interested in the sociology of generations.

Young Children and Families in the Information Age
Author: Kelly L. Heider
Publisher: Springer
ISBN: 9401791848
Category : Education
Languages : en
Pages : 303
Book Description
This edited book presents the most recent theory, research and practice on information and technology literacy as it relates to the education of young children. Because computers have made it so easy to disseminate information, the amount of available information has grown at an exponential rate, making it impossible for educators to prepare students for the future without teaching them how to be effective information managers and technology users. Although much has been written about information literacy and technology literacy in secondary education, there is very little published research about these literacies in early childhood education. Recently, the National Association for the Education of Young Children and the Fred Rogers Center for Early Learning and Children’s Media at Saint Vincent College published a position statement on using technology and interactive media as tools in early childhood programs. This statement recommends more research “to better understand how young children use and learn with technology and interactive media and also to better understand any short- and long-term effects.” Many assume that today’s young children are “digital natives” with a great understanding of technology. However, children may know how to operate digital technology but be unaware of its dangers or its value to extend their abilities. This book argues that information and technology literacy include more than just familiarity with the digital environment. They include using technology safely and ethically to demonstrate creativity and innovation; to communicate and collaborate; to conduct research and use information and to think critically, solve problems and make decisions.
