El modelo de Vicsek que explica su comportamiento, ha sido la base de la mayoría de trabajos en el tema durante las últimas dos décadas. Su efectividad en los resultados lo ha hecho un modelo muy popular en la comunidad científica, mientras que su simplicidad hace del modelo muy adaptable y que admita variaciones. En el presente trabajo se corroboraron los resultados del modelo original propuesto por Vicsek y colaboradores implementándolo computacionalmente, se extendió su estudio a 3 dimensiones (en una versión simplicada) y se implementó también una variación simple para comparar con los resultados originales, orientados a la búsqueda de transiciones de fase.
