Pope St John Paul II chose Totus Tuus as his apostolic motto. A Latin phrase meaning 'totally yours', it expressed his personal Consecration to Mary, based on the spiritual teaching of Saint Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort and the Mariology of his writings.
