Excerpt from Tiphia Popilliavora Rohwer, a Parasite of the Japanese Beetle This Tiphia has but one generation per year. The adults occur in the field during August and early September, when both males and females may be found frequenting the flowers of wild carrot. The first to appear are males, which emerge about the latter part of the first week in August (august 7, 1928, and August 5, Females do not occur in numbers until three or four days later.
