Book Description
When recently-deceased Irene Dunphy decided to “follow the light,” she thought she’d end up in Heaven or Hell and her journey would be over. Boy, was she wrong. She soon finds that “the other side” isn’t a final destination but a kind of purgatory where billions of spirits are stuck, with no way to move forward or back. Even worse, deranged phantoms known as “Hungry Ghosts” stalk the dead, intent on destroying them. The only way out is for Irene to forget her life on earth—including the boy who risked everything to help her cross over—which she’s not about to do. As Irene desperately searches for an alternative, help unexpectedly comes in the unlikeliest of forms: a twelfth-century Spanish knight and a nineteenth-century American cowboy. Even more surprising, one offers a chance for redemption; the other, love. Unfortunately, she won’t be able to have either if she can’t find a way to escape the hellish limbo where they’re all trapped. “5 Stars… Terri Bruce's dark afterlife fantasy, Thereafter, is thought-provoking and intense… While wholly original in its own right, Bruce's story reminded me somewhat of Philip Jose Farmer's landmark Riverworld Series, and that's a good thing… Thereafter is well-written and compelling, and I found it hard to put down until I had read the last page. It's recommended reading.” ~Reader’s Favorite Review “4 out of 5… Once again, Terri Bruce delivers a fast-paced read that offers more than the typical quest.” Amazon Review “5 out of 5… I am so glad I stuck with this series. I've gone from hating Irene Dunphy to adoring her. And I have to say that one of the best things about this series is the character exploration. Just as Irene is peeling back the different layers of the after life, the after life is peeling back the rough layers of Irene. She's stripping away all of the baggage and we get to see her for who she truly is--an incredibly stubborn woman who loves so big and has such a huge heart that she is terrified of using it.” Amazon Review

In the Earth’s remote past, ancient beings from a planet called Zita Reticuli came to Earth and, finding creatures living on the planet, they fashioned them into their own image to be used as slaves. Jealousy, greed and infighting soon lead to a mighty and ghastly war and tsunamis flooded the Earth. Peter’s newspaper unwittingly gets caught up in the intrigues concerning an ancient Egyptian artefact sold on the black market. This artefact could be a key that will unlock a power of immeasurable force. Peter and Johan Bekker are sent to Egypt to sniff out news and any bit of information they can. Did aliens leave the artefact here as a gift to mankind, or could its purpose be for something more sinister- the demise of man?

Book Description
Hospice, Grief, and Life Thereafter is a harsh subject matter, that is not always dealt with easily. Everyone of us will face death and grief at some point in our lives. Some of us might have a loved one going through the process of dying and might be experiencing hospice. This is written to help others understand there is hope, there are miracles out there and with true belief in God we can all survive. This book is written with poetry spread throughout the chapters which I believe brings a fresh perspective to this journey. My number one source of strength was and remains God. I live with a solid relationship with God and prayer does help.

Book Description
. . . this book is a timely and significant read for anyone with an interest in the operation of the energy sector. Karen Morrow, International Energy Law & Taxation Review This is a timely and comparative assessment of initiatives to promote renewable electricity sources (RES-E) in eight European countries. Carried out by the ProSus research programme at the University of Oslo in cooperation with leading research institutions in each country, the book focuses on the promotional schemes used to foster RES-E in Austria, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain and Sweden. The book is unique in that it monitors progress on implementing the EU RES-E Directive in relation to the impact of the dominant energy systems in each country. Employing notions of path dependency/path creation , the analysis demonstrates that crucial lessons for promoting RES-E are to be found in the contextual conditions of national and regional settings; conditions that qualify the effects of more general, market-oriented schemes. The conclusions reached are of direct relevance for the ongoing debate as to the most effective policy instruments for achieving sustainable energy and climate policies in Europe. Promoting Sustainable Electricity in Europe will be of interest to academics and researchers involved in environmental management, energy studies, technology and sustainable development. Furthermore, it will be of interest to policymakers and bureaucrats both at the EU level and among EU/EEA member states concerned with climate change, renewable energy and sustainable development at large. The book should also be of relevance for business organizations and NGOs concerned with the promotion of sustainable electricity.

Book Description
The Archaeology of Martin's Hundred explores the history and artifacts of a 20,000-acre tract of land in Tidewater, Virginia, one of the most extensive English enterprises in the New World. Settled in 1618, all signs of its early occupation soon disappeared, leaving no trace above ground. More than three centuries later, archaeological explorations uncovered tantalizing evidence of the people who had lived, worked, and died there in the seventeenth century. Part I: Interpretive Studies addresses four critical questions, each with complex and sometimes unsatisfactory answers: Who was Martin? What was a hundred? When did it begin and end? Where was it located? We then see how scientific detective work resulted in a reconstruction of what daily life must have been like in the strange and dangerous new land of colonial Virginia. The authors use first-person accounts, documents of all sorts, and the treasure trove of artifacts carefully unearthed from the soil of Martin's Hundred. Part II: Artifact Catalog illustrates and describes the principal artifacts in 110 figures. The objects, divided by category and by site, range from ceramics, which were the most readily and reliably datable, to glass, of which there was little, to metalwork, in all its varied aspects from arms and armor to rail splitters' wedges, and, finally, to tobacco pipes. The Archaeology of Martin's Hundred is a fascinating account of the ways archaeological fieldwork, laboratory examination, and analysis based on lifelong study of documentary and artifact research came together to increase our knowledge of early colonial history. Copublished with the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.
